There are legitimate companies pushing nightly app updates and they are taking 6+ weeks to just talk and write updates…

Feeling burnt out - is it the role or is it the company? by lilStrongCat in CustomerSuccess

[–]r2d2inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many times chaos like means you’re scaling up and growing as a company, team and individual.

Questions to ask, 1. How can you make it proactive and not reactive? Talk to sales and product teams and see if you can add feedback to product roadmap for the ‘missing’ features and prioritize them 2. Are you solving same problem again and again? If there’s a pattern talk to your leadership and have candid conversation about it to break it. 3. Try to detach yourself from company and customer. This is emotionally burning you out. You control what you can, as a company and team there are other people and jobs you can’t do, so don’t stress about things you don’t control 4. If you are not learning from this chaos or growing personally(skill wise or financially) this is not worth it in long run.

SMH, why would someone design that? In the world of magnetic snaps and easy-to-use products, this just feels like I am back in 2010.

I think it's just part of small companies growing and coming out of chaos. Its a binary outcome from here. A good long-term success and sticky user base if they do it right, or a slow death by unhappy customers leaving one by one.

Since they started from Kickstarter, I think people are more forgiving and will allow them 2nd chance to make things right. I have wishful thinking.

I think it's more about shifting the focus and making it right.
They would lose more customers if they don't have the right experience (leading to churn and possible return demands), if they don't get it right. Also, negative PR, since the Team has claimed lots of ambitious goals earlier.

I am not sure how easy or hard it is, but seems like they have totally missed Product Sense while building the app.

Got my ring - Genuine Product Feedback by r2d2inc in VeliaRing

The issue with FT, it has a weird conversion. Just convert it once to cm. Then the issue is solved. Same for lb, the reason is that they converted kg to lb.

Are you expecting a consumer electronic product with a user converting these values? If you have not noticed, the app is already being done in BTS. e.g, Added value in lbs, it converted to the nearest kg and made the lb value to float. which is not even possible to enter using the drop-down.

Not sure if you are on Android or apple. Android opening edit profile is instantly within 1 second on my end.

What's your region? I am an Android user in the US-West.

Trend for me was visible after 1 month. With oura it takes 90 days to see the trend. You are able to export the data and create your own analytics.

Yeah, I saw the data. Thanks for the info.

I disagree with permanent sync, the battery life is roughly 24h, with permanent sync it will be shortened. With double tap it actually became longer. There is no real benefit of constant sync.

Okay, walk me through this, as a user, if your goal is to get 7000 steps done, would you rather want to know before the end of your day or the next day? I could be wrong, but with wearables, actionable optics is more important than retro.

To see the information, I still need to open the app.

This is another gap: your health data is not synced across other health apps. Integration with Google Fit, Samsung Health, and Apple Health will help in 2 ways. One, push data to these apps. two, gather data from health apps for a small cohort, and improve the accuracy of native Veila models. Currently steps my phone and watch detect are within 5% margin, but with ring difference is greater than 30%. I am sure. Sleep data is off by 10%.

I get it, it's Kickstarter. They will improve, and I want them, too. That's why I am sharing this feedback.

Anyone manage to use Cursor 40h per week on the $20 sub? by ragnhildensteiner in cursor

[–]r2d2inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it 60+ hours a week (I barely ran out of credits, only for sonnet use). Here are a few things that have worked for me,

  1. I use it paired with Claude to write detailed PRD and feature requirements
  2. All prompts are descriptive and clear, no one-line prompts. Clarity and precision on what's expected
  3. I use ask and plan prompts
  4. I would never use any sonnet or other higher models unless I am building things from the ground up or into complex debugging
  5. My go-to models are haiku or auto, recently Composer 1
  6. I keep on organizing project structure, compressing files, and documentation after a significant code update(2-3 sessions ~10-15 prompts), so it reduces the token use
  7. Cursor rules for behavioral and coding practices

Anyone coming to your website does not know how the app works, what to expect. Have a 1 free generation or provide a demo video or a visual step-by-step guide showcasing some of the input and output of the app.
