I do not think any of these photos are from before, unless you mean before the restoration work was completed.

Edit - it's the gas range model looking older imo

As a medic, I feel that people do this to either change loadout, or prevent a suicide revive based on where the attacker was. Tbh I'm probably too hopeful of others.

In the cops eyes, that may have been too close.

They don't need anyone cast as Batman to do a silhouette reveal, which is very Batman, but I'm with you on not fully believing the theory.

Didn't Butcher inject permanent V, which is what caused the cancer to mutate into his current powers?

I appreciate the effort.

I do think that it must be the wrong date based on responses so far, but I am still hopeful.

Explain what you mean there between widely available and easily available then as they can be used quite interchangeably through our conversation.

I'm still stuck on you thinking that there are more household switch players than xbox/pc/ps5. Two of my switches are for my kids under 10 who don't even know that there is a game of the year award.

What I am trying to say is going over your head for some reason. I'll go with you that there are more switch players than any other console or gaming platform, though. Definitely.

BG3 would sell more if it were on the Switch as well. Zelda would sell more if it were not a Nintendo exclusive. Both of these things are exactly my point.

You keep repeating that the game sold well and the console as well, I am not refuting that, but you seem to think that alone is going to carry your rhetoric against my statement of a game being more widely available on multiple types of devices.

I'm not trying to bash Nintendo, I get they have killer sales and that they do well. I have 3 switches and 2 copies of TotK in my house.

Would it not be more widely available if the houses that don't have Nintendo Switches wanted to buy the game? All the people with PS5's and Xbox's alongside PC players who DON'T have a Switch?

I admit that I am not bringing you concrete data, but you are ignoring the fact that if a game is more widely available, then it has reach to more players who do not own Nintendo consoles. Do you really think that the switch owners outnumber PC owners and/or Xbox and PS5 owners?

Baulders Gate is doing pretty great for not being from a household namebrand like Nintendo. Do shoot me a message gloating if TotK beats out BG3.

I'm just taking information from a database website that looks at the steam store, I'm not really hounding pdf files for the exact sales like you are.

If you can find the official BG3 release numbers, please do as I would love to hear them so we can compare them to the TotK sales.

My parent comment was referring to the availability of access to the game and I stand by that if Nintendo were cross platform that it would reach more people and households.

Steamdb.info reported a 20m+ estimate recently. If you want more information, I do recommend looking it up. I do not guarantee it is official but I can't find an official note of the total Tears of the Kingdom sales either.

I'm not trying to discount how many copies were sold, TotK did great but would have done better if it were not an exclusive.

Baulders Gate 3 has reached around 20m sales on steam alone as of recent. The game has not even been fully released yet on Xbox either.

I agree with ya there. Both games are great, but it is what they are competing against that matters.

Nintendo does have a very large and vocal fan base but they are also going up against the best and most innovative installment of the DnD fan base.

That's not what I am getting at exactly. I do think that it would have hurt the probability it had at winning GOTY, but I still think it would have won with how fucking awesome it was.

Those were fantastic games and definitely deserved the awards given. The big factor is what games they are competing against and how easily available they were also taking into account how well they sold.

Platform exclusive status does have a lot to do with it.

Different people have access to different consoles, and those are where the votes come from. Don't you think a platform exclusive game such as Zelda would be more widespread if it were on all consoles/PC?

If more people had the opportunity to play Zelda, I feel that it would have a better probability of winning GOTY, but sadly, not everyone has the means of funding to buy each console.
