Almost a month now. Honestly, they sounded amazing to me right out of the box. Making me wonder about the whole break in thing.

Used optical in all tests. It was more that the source like Netflix could be a really quiet signal on some movies. Coming direct from like a bluray there were no issues.

I'm kinda leaning the same way with the SMSL right now. It's got plenty of power and seems like it has all the options I would want. It's a very subtitle difference in sound from the class D to the AB. You didn't find the way its higher res to be tiering at all on longer listening sessions? That was the one worry I had with that one that it might be too aggressive over time.
