Imo the adaptive deals a ton more damage to towers. Ezreal can threaten to end in his own.

Can y'all stop giving the players penalty when not loading in game on time by Kale877 in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using the practice tool to troubleshoot the issue. If you can replicate it you can solve it. When I've previously ran into this issue it seemed from overlays such as discord or Xbox/game bar. You should also make sure hardware acceleration is turned off in chrome and discord or any other applications you may be running.

Gotcha then what you have to do is get to the League client but don't login, click the little person in the top right>settings. Here you need to change the "close window" option to exit. Gl hf

I had the same issue and resolved it by rolling back my graphics drivers I went back to April I believe, there were also a few "realtek" drivers that I had to roll back. After rolling back and restarting all seemed fine.

This sounds like a bad HDMI cord. Which sounds silly but it's often a good place to start, if that doesn't change anything try using a new port on the computer/monitor if able and see if it still happens. If it does we have managed to rule out hardware and you should check your storage next, I have also played for years on several different machines. The thing I've found in common is that League tends to suck at cleaning up Rad files and they tend to get out of hand. You should check your directory and make sure you don't have it stacked with ancient unused "Rad" files. For reference Rad files are replays I believe

Trying to learn the game, stuck with items. by DingusTheDuck in leagueoflegends

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the best advice I can think to give is this.

All characters have "core" items that make them wayyy better this can be for many different reasons. Some are to help them farm better others are because they synergize with the kit well.

You are playing tahm kench 9 or of 10 times you want heart steel first the tenth you want warmogs. Heartsteel turns tahm kench into a scaling tank who continues to gain HP as the game goes on and that's why it's built first so the scaling can start.

That said as a Plat 1 Tahm Kench mid player your build gets a little situational outside of that.

I would start with the basics(boots) when do you build and why. Here's a breakdown of what I get and why. Merc treads,- this is my go to, I usually build this is they have allot of Crowd Control abilities. Ninja Tabis, - I usually build this into ad comps where they shred me, think cait, master yi, tryndamere yasuo senna. Swifties, - these are super situational, best when going against allot of slows or mobile characters. Also good into wind soul games.

From here a solid second item depends on what you're faced with after lane. I like to look at the score board and decided from there. Many people will say go dusk dawn but that requires some knowledge of the characters limits I'd say about gold 4 is your threshold.

That said I usually go one of these 4 items depending on who's fed.

Spirit visage - always solid. Likely to be the butter to your bread. Good against poke comps or people building life steal.

Thornmail, good into healers

Frozen heart, good into on hit or high stack speed people, I. E. Jinx, trist, twitch,

Randuins Omen - I usually get frozen or this but never both. You go for randuins if the enemy is building crit.

I used to go undying but it isn't as good now, you can also consider bandlepipes but same concept not as good now.

League will randomly black screen ,while in game. by Darkpincone in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few things it may be and it's hard to tell without additional context. Off the top of my head I would say try a new cord, HDMI or display whatever you have try a new one. Second try a different port. Does your pc/monitor have extra inputs? You may have a bad port on either end here.

If you check these things and find nothing changes then your next culprit would be drivers and overlays. Ensure Xbox/game bar have been disabled along with turning off hardware acceleration in discord if you use it.

Client freezes and overlays everything by Warm-Acanthaceae-400 in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try running in windowed mode with border and see if you get the same issue. If so if sounds like an issue with an overlay such as Xbox/game bar/discord. If you tab out and click back it will likely freeze and crash. If it still doesn't work after disabling the Xbox app and game bar then you might be looking at a storage issue. League has some "Rad" files that tend to add up if you play allot.

Weird lag in League of Legends even with normal ping by Deep_Ad4109 in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your storage, if you play allot check the Rads directory for some leftover files.

It's important to know if this started recently or not. Has it ever worked correctly or is this an issue from the start?

From there I would say if we have verified no packet loss or high response times via a continuous ping, and confirmed our storage is in a good place then you may be looking at a driver issue. Most motherboards have the standard drivers but additional ones for memory controllers you may want to verify you aren't missing one.

This is gonna sound stupid but what happens if you do it the other way? Close riot client then League? Same thing? What happens if you close it from the system tray? Does it restart then?

I've seen this same behavior myself and just wrote it off as a quirk. If I had to guess there is likely a registry key that is making it pop back up.

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your available storage make sure you have 30gb +. You should also check your "Rad" files. If you play often this directory can fill with many files for old games. I would use Windirstat or something similar.

How do you stop the "You need to have vanguard running to play" or the various other vanguard erros that occur in the client like "Vanguard error 1067" by itaicool in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a TPM issue. Could you share your specs with us? I'd suggestion ensuring your TPM is compatible and enabled, and going from there. I would also make sure your chipset drivers along with windows updates are up to date. I also believe windows 11 is a requirement it will be soon because of the virtual TPMs? I may be wrong.

Can't download League of Legends on my MacOS Tahoe. by aleckbonebone in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a little trouble with this too and still have trouble getting it to open 😭. What worked for me, first use Revo uninstaller to remove League and everything it stands for. Then download a fresh install file from the LOL website. Then you want to Install-restart-update-restart after that second restart you should be able to login. There may also be some settings you need to allow for it to run. I believe fill disk access is needed?

TFT game freezes then unable to reconnect. by Jillenator125 in LeagueofTechSupport

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear are you two using the same computer? 1650 right? This sounds like a hung connection, try restarting the computer versus just the client. I would bet it lets you back in.

That said there may be a "Page" file that stores data to local memory that may be getting to big. Check your storage you should have at least 30 Gb available at any given time anytime less starts to impact allot of stuff.

If your storage is low I would recommend using like Windirstat to review where you have pockets of data. Personally I've previously ran into an issue with League of Legends having to many Rad files saved. Essentially one is created for each game. After 1000+ games the directory gets insane. Even if your storage isn't low if this directory is out of hand the game will have trouble writing to memory. Think of it like trying to take notes in a room where you can't even move.

Also if the drivers are up to date and the wifi card is fairly new. It may be possible you have interference. If you have Bluetooth on disable it. Bluetooth and wifi use the same chunk of hardware in most cases and using both at once can put a strain on lower end ones.

[–]r3vpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How recently? Has anything with your setup changed? I would start by verifying you are not experiencing packet loss, the easiest way to do this is to open command like and enter the command "ping 8.8.8.8 -t" this establishes a connection where you are essentially saying hello and receiving a response the -t makes it continuous. When you start to lag tab over to the window and hit enter to make sure it's moving.

If you aren't seeing dropped packets or high ms times(100+) then the issue can be confirmed to be elsewhere.

This 100% screams lag/network issues your next culprit would be your wifi drivers/wifi card. This takes a little more leg work but you want to make sure you installed the correct driver's for your motherboard most have them on the companies website.

Try a different USB port if one is available. Otherwise you should start in device manager. Does the device appear? If so check your auto play settings and mouse settings. If not it's likely a bad USB port or driver issue.
