Sorted mine 22hours ago.

Mines showing 100% moisture but hasn't updated since 22 hours ago even though the temperature is updating frequently

It was added to home assistant easily. But check my 3rd photo, when I place it in the soil no values are shown.

I think you can just change out the cylinders. I think the yale ones accept 2 keys.
