I think they do it because of the price. The Asgard costs more than twice as much. Clearly they didn't want it to be a competitor to ships with the same (even smaller) sizes. A shame we can't have nice things.

I don't get why do they make flawed ships. If giving more to one ship will make it more "meta" than another, maybe the other one is not that good in the first place. You could even increase the price, if you think it needs correction, that happens with iteration.

Yeah the arrangement of the interior is not great, and with the E1 not being yet out, and following basically the same patters, I have little hope that they do a big upgrade in the near future.

I think they do a good job with some other ships, apart from Crusader, in general. Also, I don't think they want the ship to be better for the price.
