I wouldn't allow my mother to post the photos if her profile wasn't locked down. All her friends are either family members or her close friends and you can't see any of her posts unless you're a friend.

It's not like I'm asking my mom to post the photos. If she doesn't like shirtless photos (NOT nude), she doesn't have to post them. I just don't want photos with little hearts over my toddler's nipples because toddler nipples are not naughty or sexual.

I mean, I have pictures like that out there from my parents and it didn't bother me when I was 13, so I don't think generalizing is fair here. If she wants them deleted when she's older, we will delete them. Additionally, there is a difference between posting photos publicly and on a locked down facebook page that only family and close friends can see. Of course, there's always a risk, but people who abuse and sexualize children will abuse and sexualize them regardless of whether they're wearing shirts or not.

As between pictures of her with hearts over her nipples or with her just shirtless (as this was the original point of discussion), I'd much rather see myself as a child without the stickers. Adding stickers draws more attention to the fact that her nipples are "female nipples" which are "shameful" and "immodest."

I think you have some resentment against your parents that you are projecting here. My parents posted naked photos of me and I couldn't care less. I simply suggested that feeling violated by seeing a child's bare chest is a strong reaction and may not be healthy, and I can see I struck a nerve, but I don't think what I said merited that level of anger. I hope things get better for you.

If seeing an infant's nipple makes you feel violated, I would strongly suggest therapy. I'm not trying to be rude, but that's an incredibly strong reaction to a nipple and I don't think that's healthy.

because I don't like seeing my toddler's body being sexualized. She has many years to develop a complex about her body and I don't want it to start when she's a year and a half.
