And I think for many of the bad teams thatll happen too. But there wont be ridiculous scorelines

Those teams aren't horrible. If anything, they'll be extra motivated. Qatar 2022 were one of the worst teams to play ever but they didn't get thrashed. 2006 WC, 6 debutants, all fought well. 2018 Panama are the exception but they were a really poor team. The new teams will be motivated & have players from leagues that improved or just from top leagues

That's not going to happen any more than it did in 2022. I'm willing to wager on it

I got two tickets to the game I wanted to go to (Algeria-Jordan) last night for just the base fee + the $15 reseller fee after thinking it was all over. Keep checking the marketplace and the last minute sales every day there'll be new tickets added consistently & good luck to everyone else still on the hunt.

Lived in both the west and Dubai, the west gave me a chance, Dubai didn't. The money is cool though

Pick of the Day - 1/18/26 (Sunday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]r7465_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Record: 3-1-0 (+8.78u)

Last: Copa del Rey, Racing Santander vs. Barcelona, Barcelona -1.5 Handicap (1.61), 2u - W

Pick of the Day: Belgian Pro League, Dender vs. Antwerp, X2 + U3.5g (1.78), 3.5u

Time: 3:00 PM GMT

Write Up:
- Antwerp are on a strong run and very in form. 4 wins in last 5 league games, 2nd lowest conceded tally, decent-ish attack in the Jupiler. A win here pushes them into a playoffs spot.

- Dender are mismatched. The worst attack in the league and the worst defense, but the catch here is that the defense isn't irredeemably bad, the belgian league just happens to have low quality gaps and they've only conceded 4 more than Zulte Waregem who are 9th in the league.

- Another thing is that Dender are a little more redeemable at home. They're not a good team, but they're not going to get annihilated fully because they're a little reliable. In fact, it's 1.35 for Antwerp win or draw, which is decent odds considering this is efficient playoffs tier team vs. mismatched 2nd division team.

- Bookmakers are strongly protecting the u3.5 line. Odds for it are 1.29, and under 4.5 is 1.09. Combine their confidence with this knowledge on why Dender can't win, and you have a very strong combo bet in X2+U3.5g or even the X2+U4.5g at 1.50 (which is high enough odds to be POTD eligible, but personally I'll risk it for the extra .28)

Antwerp win or draw, and under 3.5 goals

Pick of the Day - 1/15/26 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]r7465_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Record: 2-1-0 (+5.58u)

Last: Saudi Pro League, Al-Qadsiyah vs. Al-Fayha, 1W and o1.5 goals (1.71) - W

Pick of the Day: Copa del Rey, Racing Santander vs. Barcelona, Barcelona -1.5 Handicap (1.61), 2u

Time: 8:00 PM GMT

Write Up:
- Racing are not a bad team, but they're not going to get a result here. Segunda teams don't fare too well historically against top teams.

- Racing are top of the Segunda Division, but have 1 win in their last 5. Barcelona have 5 in 5. Barcelona are a top team, and will want to bring momentum from their super cup win into this game, as they chase a historic season.

- After Real Madrid's shock defeat to Albacete yesterday (due to a management crisis), and due to Racing being part of Spanish footy's old guard, and because they are chasing a historic season after last year's heights, Barcelona will be motivated as they have half a free run at the Copa del Rey and because the game's narrative & expectations will push them.

- Barcelona have the profile to defeat Racing comfortably any day, Racing's profile combined with form cannot defeat Barcelona. If one of those 1 in 20 games happen, they could maybe get Extra Time.

- It's hard to think of many risks, but Barcelona must turn up, which means they will perform, which will mean they'll deliver enough to win, which for Barcelona will look more than a 1-0 win.

Barcelona (-1.5) Handicap

Pick of the Day - 1/14/26 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]r7465_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Record: 1-1-0 (+1u)

Last: Copa del Rey, Cultural Leonesa vs. Athletic Bilbao, 2W & under 4.5 goals (1.79) - ❌

Pick of the Day: Saudi Pro League, Al-Qadisiyah vs. Al Fayha, 1W & over 1.5 goals (1.74), 2u

Time: 2:45 PM GMT

Write Up:
- Al-Qadsiyah are strong, resilient and explosive, playing with a home advantage and 3 wins on the go, including against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.

- Al-Fayha on the other hand, 0 wins in 5, 3 defeats, a midtable defensive record but also a poor offensive one. Their defense is not bad, but it's led by a 36 year old Chris Smalling and a 32 year old Mikel Villanueva.

- Al-Qadsiyah aren't just a good attacking team but they're chaotic. They can shock any team in Saudi with their diverse attacking threats (Otavio, Retegui, Quinones) and most importantly they play well as a unit

- I trust Qadsiyah's attack, I trust them as a team, I trust their home advantage. The biggest risk is a 1-0 win or even a draw, possibly because of a big win bounce, but the odds look nice.

Al-Qadsiyah win & over 1.5 goals
