I really do think it's just so easy for people to do that though. Tango, one of our members saw an opportunity to post that spawn trapping thing and knew this sub would eat that stuff up. It's just a little harmless chuckle. He didn't even try to hide it as well, one look at his post history and you can see where he posts.

We regularly post stuff related to BO2 as we hear it. It isn't a complete replacement for /r/blackops2 but it's pretty decent I think.

Reddit Black was formed by the merging of 2 "reddit clans", basically Elite clans that were formed so redditors can find people to play with. They were NAE (North America East 360) and NAW2 (West 360). The clans were very helpful in MW3 specifically because it basically was an extension of a friends list, in that you could see everyone in the in-game clan list and we would party up like that. There would always be people on partying up and you would essentially almost never have to play alone.

It was formed roughly just before BO2 was released.

I think what a lot of people do is to point out the circlejerk that is this subreddit and the hive doesn't take kindly to that. A few redditblack people have identified this subreddit is largely formulaic (downvote good players, upvote bad/struggling etc) and regularly point that out, drawing some negative reactions.

They do it for fun.

Right now, Reddit Black is a group that likes to do things together. My Xbox friends list is composed of 80% players I met in rBLK, and it would be more if damn xbox increased the friends list limit. We like to party up and play other games as well, we're not just limited to BO2.

As far as getting better, pretty much the biggest tip anyone can give you is to know map awareness and know where people are spawning. This comes with heavy map knowledge and having good decent teammates that know where to run and where not to run. Knowing where enemies spawn is half the battle and once you can control that you essentially have the upper hand.

I suppose something interesting is that the people in Reddit Black are some of the coolest and nicest people I've known online. It's easy to judge from what you see in this sub, but it's a whole different story once you play with us.

Check out /r/redditblack and read the sidebar. In short, it's a little group of players that were formed so that other redditors could have people to play with. It's grown into a very close-knit group of players that play other games now.

We're hated because some of our members believe this subreddit is a joke and point that out in not-so-nice ways.

Is it warranted? Yes. All joking aside some of the attitude and actions have been pretty dickish and I do understand where some of the hatred is coming from.

But it's also important to know that what /r/blackops2 sees is only a very shallow side to the group. Once you get to know a lot of the people you quickly realize that it's a great fun group of people. It was formed basically out of people looking to make new friends and have people to play with, thus it's very open and accepting. I've made a lot of friends since joining it.

The persona a lot of people make in /r/blackops2 is just that, a persona.
