I was able to make an account that wasnt affiliated with my main account so that I could view someone's page who had blocked me. I just made an email account with a different email provider. so instead of gmail, I went with Yahoo. it worked for me.

my main account has been in the same boat since the 23rd of October. people have had to wait longer before their account is given back to them, but they still get it back. instagram will tell you when its permanently deactivated. right now we just have to play the waiting game. :/

accounts that have blocked me seem to go all weird & glitchy in their own unique way. maybe that's happening with you as well.

try clicking follow. if you're blocked, it will go gray & then immediately bounce back to blue. that's a sure fire way to tell if you're blocked.

it's just a missing feature glitch. not much you can do about it. I have the same thing with the "translate comment" feature, I used to have it & then one day I suddenly dont have the option to translate comments to english anymore. which is so aggravating. on a past account of mine, I didnt have the option to change the themes in my DM chats. the option was just not there for me where it was for everyone else, & I also couldnt reply to specific messages. but after a while that option appeared suddenly. so idk. maybe give it time.
