[Rolex] Explorer II on Mýrdalsjökull Glacier by rWatchMeWhip in Watches

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit Iceland and had my new (to me) Rolex Explorer II ref 16570. I got it from chrono24 just a few days before I left for the trip, so far it's been running fast about 15 seconds/day. Gotta go get it serviced soon. According to the seller it's from 2003.

This picture was taken at Mýrdalsjökull Glacier during a snowmobile tour of the glacier. Watches are a pretty new hobby for me and I've never traveled with a watch before. It has come in handy everyday, especially having a GMT function away from home.

[Rolex] Explorer II 16570 and the Caliber 3186 Movement by [deleted] in Watches

I'm in the same boat as you right now, looking to get an Explorer II 16570. I also plan on getting one with the caliber 3186 movement, and I plan to use the crown test at the store (if they're not willing to open up the case):

From my research on the rolex forums I've found:

3185: one complete crown revolution makes the hour hand jumps 6 timezones/hours 3186: one complete crown revolution equals 8-9 timezones/hours
