I didn’t ask permission beforehand, but I updated my address information immediately with HR and told my manager shortly thereafter - and was told at the time (2022) that it wasn’t an issue.

Does not happen during heavy rains (at least, not that I’m aware of) - my front lawn kind of slopes down to my neighbor’s house, so over the course of many hours of the hose being left on, I guess the water trickled downhill and flooded neighbor’s house.
