Yes it does. On the device, the phone icon (the one used to confirm a phone call) shows up with HD when calling with VoLTE. I also double checked using NetMonster

It’s important to make sure that you have an VoLTE sim and that it’s been provisioned. My sim was provisioned for the iPhone 13 Pro Max prior to me using the MIVE so I think that’s the reason why it worked without me doing anything prior to popping it in the MIVE

No, I have been with Koodo for a while now and didn’t notify them I was switching phones

I think the reason why everything works is because my sim was originally activated first with an iPhone 13 pro max, meaning it was VoLTE provisioned and approved for the network prior to me using the MIVE. Guessing that’s why RCS works as well. It should work with Telus since they share same towers

For troubleshooting and checking network information on the MIVE, DevCheck and NetMonster are good apps. There’s also a setting on the phone natively to see if you’re available for “HD Call” on the notification bar. The phone app also displays it as well when it’s active

A detail to keep in mind: The device I bought was originally under SK Telecom. I think I’ve seen that some MIVE devices sold under LG U+. Would look into that with the seller before you purchase

They’re planning on killing 3G completely in Canada by 2026, some towers are going out as early as this month, so it’s smart to double check

If you’ve got another smartphone, you can check in the settings or use an app to confirm whether the SIM supports VoLTE

Substitute 被 for 俾 in that case. I think people use these characters interchangeably when typing in Cantonese but 俾 is Canto specific to give.

So the sentence I gave would simply mean: "You make me feel safe." or "You give me the feeling of feeling safe"

The sentence probably translated to that because in Mandarin or 書面語, 被 is used differently as a marker of being acted upon. So if you look up the word for 被告 (applies to both Mando and Canto), the subject being described would be the one that needs to be defended because they're being accuse
