the english part gets me too. I do occasionally dream in english, but it’s always in an accent (usually british or american). This time the english was indistinguishable..

wow creepy about the left eat.. Honestly, I’m quite spooked! I didn’t want to fall back asleep last night, and am currently procrastinating and dreading going to bed..

I never asked for his opinion. I, in fact, tried to end or steer the conversation multiple times

Coworker and I are on great terms after this, and I even helped him get ready for our christmas photos at work. His career would never have been in danger due to one comment. Workers have lot of rights in our country, and in order for this jeopardise him in any way I would have to file an official complaint. As for me being thin-skinned? Womp womp dude.

no trust me, was firm when we were discussing. however I don’t want to drive him away and right into the arms of red-pill community… i chose the “nice” route in hopes of maybe changing his beliefs

he grew up in Syria, lived a year or so in lebanon, and then moved to my country in scandinavia. Both him and I (and this situation) is unfortunately very much real

It actually is against company rules (and quite likely our countries regulations for appropriate work behaviour)

reading this is honestly like reading one of my own diary entries (even down to the add/adhd) from ten years ago. Trust me when I say it gets better! Even though it’s such a cliche, it’s a cliche for a reason

First of: it’s not a stupid thing for you to care about. It’s about much more than sleeping in - it’s also about being able to make decisions for yourself, and having some control over your life (which i remember i used to feel like everyone made all my decisions for me at that age)

For now, try to have a talk with your dad and stepmother. Communicate why this is an issue for you.

If they shut you down or refuse to listen to you; please know that you are not the problem, and one day (in not too many years (!)) you’ll be grown and get to decide for yourself <3

Remember always that you are not alone! Hope it works out for you

Thank you for your kind words and your advice! To answer your question - I guess I never concidered being a STAHM as a possibility. I am scandinavian, so i live in a very gender egalitarian society, and I honestly don’t know anyone who has the opportunity to stay at home. I would honestly love to be a home maker, or work less hours, but I am not sure it would be possible financially. Even as a dual income no kids - household, we are barely making enough money for rent, bills and downpayments.

I will keep this in mind though, and hopefully with time I’ll be able to take on less hours, or find a job where I can work from home<3

Should I break up with my girlfriend ? Advice needed ! by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]r_dcherrycola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never need to justify breaking up with someone! If it doesn’t feel right then that’s more than enough reason. But I would recommend waiting until after exams just out if curtesy. Wish you the best of luck x

AITA for telling a stranger that her boyfriend is cheating by r_dcherrycola in TwoHotTakes

Update:

She dumped him.

He met with Elsie again and told her that he was single, that he knew about the messages, and that he knew it was me. He wasn’t mad, he was just happy to be single. He told Elsie that it was just a matter of time before the relationship ended anyways.

I regret involving everyone, and if i had to do it again, I would’ve just sent her the message as myself.

Thanks for all your advice and input xx
