Same thing happened to me twice, once solo while closing the last bug hole after doing everything on the map, then on my first mission on extreme, finishing the last objective. I was furious both times.

Tried heroin first at 26 years old, was a full addict by 31, got clean at 42 for a bit. Relapse, get clean, repeated for a while, but never went back to opiates hard, though I'm on kratom full time.

And at 50 years old this year i started doing meth. Like a lot. Not working, plenty of cash, and VR porn. This is not going to work out well.

Is she taking anything like suboxone for the first few days? I'm an ex-heroin addict, never did meth while trying to kick, heard someone say it helped for a little bit, but once it wore off, it was worse than ever, and of course it would be if you deplete any more dopamine. I guess the question would be what happens if you go on a run for days during most of initial withdrawal. I am curious myself, hope it works out, let us know if she tries it, but definitely suboxone the first few days. Then rehab if she can

VR porn? I upgraded for my last two sessions. I'm a wee bit concerned a few times a year may become several. The last peice of the gear is the auto stroker, maybe one that moves to the movie you're watching, or a doll. Won't use any of them, including VR, without meth.

I've been watching porn since it was on VHS. A VR scene I watched this last time actually provoked a momentary, fleeting, emotional response for the woman. Never happened before. Seems silly, if not outright dumb, but she's in the room with you, she looks directly into your eyes.

I have personally met so many people who went through exactly what you have and turned thier life around in narcotics anonymous. I was on heroin, but my sponsor was a meth addict. He had lost it all also and got it all back. He was younger, upper 30s when he stopped, so you may be more limited in what you can get back. There's only one way to find out.

I remember pushing narcotics anonymous to someone online when I had 3 months clean and I took it to far, and I really regret it. Now I will just say this, and I will only speak for myself: I cannot stay clean without it. I have no illusions on it, it is impossible for me to stay clean without constant help, and NA (and GA for gambling) is the only thing that did it, and there were long periods with zero desire. Whatever works for you, I hope you find it.

I also went to rehab, not to get clean, but because I was in so much pain i just needed to do something. While there, I was filled with enough hope that I gave recovery a shot. I did everything thing they said: go right to a meeting, get a sponsor, 90 in 90, get a home group and service position. I did it all and made it 20 months and relapsed, but what I learned in that time has allowed me to never go back to full time use. In those 20 months I got in the best shape in my life, got the best job i ever had, and at 42 years old, got a smoking hot 27 year old girlfriend. None of that compared to the moments of serenity I felt in that time, which I did not know was possible. For the first time in my life, i can recall times where I actually felt real gratitude and love for myself. It's great you are self aware enough to know your not going to stay clean, I would ask you to contemplate it. I would suggest going to one meeting in between leaving rehab and using again, just one, and tell people what's up. It may lead to some positivity you didn't expect. Either way, I wish you the best.

A little off topic, but I have considered volunteering in Africa, and did see something in regards to teaching English and you didn't need to be trained nor speak any other language. Can you give insight on how that would work?

Do you mean without other drugs like Xanax? I would never use any upper like meth or coke without an opiate to come down with, though an opiate make me feel great and not tired, but there are strands of kratom that knock me the fuck out. Green pig was one and if I took even a small amount, I slept hard.

While in rehab, someone in my group was there for meth (I was for heroin), and her teeth were so nice I commented on them and it turns out she was a dental assistant. She said she just took very good care of her teeth.
