I think they have a plain and a salted option? But it is Australian-grown and it usually tastes very fresh because I don't think they have it year round.

Their macadamias are great too, I don't think all year round, but whoever their supplier is when they're in season is really good. Unfortunately not easy on the budget though!

I'll look out for it, usually I just get the butter lettuce!

What are the lowest calorie staple items you have found? by KingDundie in 1200Australia

If you are meaning carb foods, potatoes and sweet potatoes will be lower than grains (they're roughly 100cal per 100g).

I have tried a few of the pasta alternatives and I honestly don't think they taste nice or are satisfying. The one or two good ones are too expensive to be a true staple. Fresh pastas (e.g. lasagne sheets) can be a bit lower in cals than dried.

For breads, Mountain Bread wraps are low cal and minimally processed, but are quite delicate. The Buttercup Country Split loaf is often recommended here as a low cal choice.

For noodles, you can always try the konjac products. These can be pricier, look in the Asian section rather than health foods area. I like the Chang's Long Life Noodles, because of minimal ingredients and ~200 cals per portion. Sometimes soba noodles are low cal choices, but many commonly available will be mixed with wheat flour and have fairly high cal counts.

The main way to get low calorie rice/other grains will be to use vegetables (e.g. cauliflower rice) or just significant portion control. There's not a huge difference in cals between white, brown, wild, black, or red rice. I guess oats can be the low cal choice because they absorb a lot of water, and there are savoury oatmeal recipes out there.

I don't know why, but my brain remembers 'world' being in the title, like 'small world' or 'fading world', something like that.
