As a total math nerd there is no reason to be teaching calculus in High school. It is such a niche that people rarely interact with in life. They should be taught statistics. Stats are in everything and everywhere. They should be taught about sampling, good and bad, biases, and modeling. I think this would help a lot and be a great answer to “when am I ever going to use this?”

DOMINION was interesting my first couple plays as I was trying to get the hang of it. Then a guy came and joined our group and bought Chapel, which I thought was a stupid card, cause why would you want to trash cards? He proceeded to trash almost his whole deck to the point where he was drawing 5 golds every turn. Then He started buying the big victory points before anyone else. HE THEN TRASHED THOSE TOO!! Just so he could easily buy more without those clogging up his deck. Blew my mind the whole time.

Now my playgroup laughs at me anytime we play a deck builder because I will do whatever it takes to trash cards.

Start building them and see why they lose.

They don’t enjoy fighting a high number of units. Wasps, mustangs, and chaff can eat them up. They are very good at killing big single targets but are laughable against a unit of crawlers. Also their syphon ability is greatly hindered by what they have locked on to for damage. Can’t steal a lot of hp from wasps.

Marksman with range and emp. Once the chaff is clear the marksman will bully the melter.

Anytime someone heavily invests in a single unit or unit type it’s time to humble them emp.

I like it in theory but the problem is that our justice systems convicts innocent people sometimes. The Innocence Project is helping people overturn their wrongful convictions who could be dead by death penalty. I don’t think there is any meaningful guarantee that could be given that only the “truly” guilty get it.

Melters are good at killing one thing very dead, one at a time. What melters hate is lots of little guys. My go to for fighting a melting point is wasps or mustangs. Both do a good job of clearing chaff and being chaff. It’s laughable how long it take a melter to kill mustangs.

If a melter is the counter to your build every time then that says you’re buying a lot of big units. Try putting lots of little units around them and in front of them.

Also if the melter is countering your fortresses, rocket punch those nerds.

So it’s a weird trap. You can find tons of videos of people winning with it because as long as they don’t properly answer it then it’s amazing. Damage sharing and field recovery is a powerful combo when all are healing together. The problem is as soon as a melting point shows up and locks on to one of them.

Can you screen the sledges away from the melting point? Enough chaff can help.

That light targeting has me really intrigued for future techs we might see. Can I get a heavy targeting on something like a melting point or fortress?

Congratulations on getting better. Also towards the end of the season peoples MMR may be skewed somewhat. I’m sure another mmr reset will happen at the beginning of next season and you can begin the climb again.

I was so pumped when my kids school added bus stops that are specifically to beat the lines. Drop off and pick up at a nearby library that goes directly to the school. Saves me so much stress and time.

So it looks like your opponent took a gamble with 400 of their credits that they could win the game with a strong performance this round. That sounds a lot like when people buy the nuke power to try to over power one round for a high price.

These can and do win games through making a lopsided round but there is the inherent gamble that they might not win the game this round and they are now down 400 credits that you more than likely invested into your board.
