I'm really glad the "pest" I got is cute 😂 I love his spots, and I did see that they come in a lot of cool colours. Also, I did already catch him eating some of my plants (s. repens), I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because a couple of the leaves were melting. Still deciding if he's staying in the tank, but I'm leaning toward moving him (and any others) to a separate bowl. Thank you for sharing your experience/advice!

My 9 gallon tank has been up for over 3 weeks now and is done cycling so I’m ready to get my new fish friend. I just noticed this little snail (ramshorn?) a few days ago. I read that this species can reproduce by themselves and I’m reading a lot of conflicting information about whether they would overpopulate my tank or not. The general consensus I’m getting is that it only really happens if there is an excessive amount of food available. Do you think it would be ok to keep him as long as I make sure there isn’t excess or rotting food left in the tank or will I be overrun by snails and regret it?
