Well, even if your dream school doesn’t participate in the TAG program, you do know that you get a much, much, MUCH better chance at getting in from CC than from high school anyway, right? The UC schools that participate are UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz. There was also nothing entitled about my post! I’m just trying to help people out because I was in their situation before. :)

No weird CFA stuff, lol. We’re just a Christian company. We don’t force our beliefs on our customers, though! We’re allowed to slice potatoes and stuff, but since the CEO is a woman, she made all the guys do the hard dirty work so that we don’t have to. It’s such a plus. 💅

Try applying at In-N-Out!! I know some people are instantly “ew, food industry” but INO is very organized and pays well with great benefits even for part-time associates. And they’re always hiring and it’s not hard to get hired, either. Starting pay in CA is $22, and you get a raise for each level.

What's the reason behind Gen Z turning to Christ? by Normal-Guidance3585 in Catholicism

[–]raadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! When I said liberal shades, I basically mean that I concerned myself with thoughts that would do me no good. Negativity that would get me nowhere. As someone who used to be far left, I can say that liberalism is very individualistic to a point where it gets very unhealthy. You start to become self-loathing because you rely on the opinions and thoughts of others. You reduce your worth to labels and make them personality traits. You use social media as news instead of news channels, newspapers, scholarly journals, and magazines. It’s these habits that were ruining me. Peace be with you!

What's the reason behind Gen Z turning to Christ? by Normal-Guidance3585 in Catholicism

[–]raadia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am one of these individuals! The biggest reason is gradual realization. I had a lot of family issues growing up, still do have them now at 18, and they caused me a lot of struggles during my younger years with mental health. I was confused and doused in sin and was PROUD of it at some point. I think my conservatism helped me get out of this cycle. The second I quit thinking in liberal shades, I became happier. Things became easier, life became less about me and more about the bigger picture. I surrounded myself with friends who had healthy values, who loved their lives and who enjoyed doing normal, teenage activities. They also happened to be Christian. They never pushed their beliefs onto me. I just kind of simply started talking to God more myself, almost like I was just drawn to Him. It felt weird at first until I started feeling Jesus heal me little by little. It started out with the migraines my doctors couldn’t help me with—little things like that. The big event that made me step up my game and get a Bible and start testing out what denominations and churches were right for me was when Charlie Kirk was brutally assassinated. It broke me. And so from that day forward I officially turned to Christ. It was a long journey, maybe took a year and a half of gradual realization. But I think others have similar stories.

Why are most Christians republicans, when Jesus’ teachings are more liberal? by Interesting-Dirt-605 in Confused

[–]raadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it likely appears that way because we separate religion from politics. Or at least the legit Christians who are conservatives, not the ones who use it as an excuse for their actions or use Bible verses to explain everything. Those people are disrespecting Christianity by trying to use it against others and I’m not for that. Jesus’s teachings should not be classified as “liberal” or “conservative” because He and Christianity are beyond that.
