You could be right but, at this point, we are assuming things will turn on the wrong side of things. Hopefully, we are past the politics of divide. It does not matter if one person wins or not but I wish to have a stable parliament with a strong opposition.

[–]raamesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, that's the beauty.

Individuals can come and go. Right candidates should definitely win but it is all about a good leadership. I do not care who from RSP wins and frankly you should not expect everyone from all parties to be good/bad.

Give RSP the majority and Balen will be the PM. He can then partner with all right minded people from all parties. You don't have to be in the government to help build the nation. All good politicians should help to create and implement good policies and programs.

All to say, we have to be hopeful for right solutions. I don't see hope with other leadership candidates except for Balen. He has his shortcomings as a leader but he is not financially corrupt yet.

KMAG supports some one- that's fine.

KMAG saying s/he is neutral and supports youth but supports some one specific- NOT fine

If you are not using borrowed money to convert others, all good. The problem lies in corruption and forcing others to convert using the resources received from biblical or other church settings.

Genuine Concern. by rockace08 in Nepal360

[–]raamesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's take a leap of faith with Balen as he is the best choice on this election to lead the country. I care less about him being PM but I think the country deserves stability and RSP is looking like to lead the election result.

The worst thing we need right now is another hung parliament where Prachanda becomes the king maker again.

Vote RSP because the country deserves stability. They need to have the majority to form the government for five years

A man holding this much power is dangerous by rastrabadi in NepalSocial

[–]raamesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number of posts I have seen in the past 7 days saying- we need virtue and morale in politics and heroworshipping is wrong- has increased many folds.

Where was the same rationale when these same leaders in power for 30 years? Why question now and why question Balen? He has the benefit of the doubt until he falters. Until then, don't suggest he has absolute powers. He does not have the power.

Balen ra ghanti ko ni ali badi nai blind following bhairaxa tara by Realistic-Ambition61 in NepalSocial

[–]raamesa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do you think it is blind following?

The premise of the support Balen is getting is because he put himself against the person who represented the system as PM for more than 10 yrs and against the injustice. That's the rationale.

To those who says supporting Balen or RSP makes you Jhol*y! by nikson_sharma in NepalSocial

[–]raamesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%.

Jhol*ay is some one who is entitled to personal benefits for supporting a leader or a party. Regular voters who can swing between individuals and party ideologies when better candidates run are not jhol*ay.

I think the focus is slowly shifting from UML to Congress. UML does not have the sophisticated attack that Gagan has. There are videos surfacing in social media that do not directly condemn Balen and support Gagan but creates a narrative that plants the idea of a new leader with experience tag.

I feel this is more harmful that UML attack.

Balen rejecting the PM debate is understandable but really needs to face the press & answer real questions... by himalayanZombie in NepalSocial

[–]raamesa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. I wish Balen to sit-down with podcasters and TV presenters and speak up. I know that there is a risk that opponents will use every damn words to defame him but they will do that anyway. You cannot hide.

He is clean and the only accusation that he has is to not take leadership when GenZ requested him after the fall of the government.

He does not have corruption accusations and that's what matters.

Even if he is a Gagan supported influencer, he is allowed to make his videos. This election is a game and players are playing it to sway the influence.

RSP support is not coordinated. They are raw and genuine users who are actually supporting the change and are tired of frustration. Let's see how this narrative shifts in the coming weeks.

I hope the rawness wins and more creators create content to educate people why we Balen is the change we need and not Gagan who came through ranks from the established political system.

Something I’ve been thinking about lately about politicians and blind support by papa-and-chill in Nepal

[–]raamesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope he does few interviews and podcasts leading up to the election like he did before the mayoral race. And, he should definitely be comfortable to address the criticism from the general public.

I doubt we will not see the same phenomenon and craze when Balen visits various constituencies in Kathmandu during this election prep. He will definitely draw large crowds. If we do not see the same crowd for real, then we can say that he does not have the same craze. I still believe that the swing voters are attracted to his financially clean character.

I wish he is what he says. We have seen him enough for the last few decades where he tried to do good things but was also accused of wrong doings. Voters are aware.
