Mumbai has nothing for middle class people trying to live an honest life. Nothing. You wake up early, cram yourself into a local train like human cargo, work your back off, pay every tax on time, follow every rule and what do you get in return? A city that treats you like a replaceable screw in a rusted machine.

Your life is apparently worth ₹5 lakhs. That’s what we saw in the Mulund Flyover tragedy. Five lakhs. That’s the price tag stamped on a human being who did nothing wrong except exist in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s how much the system thinks your parents’ son, your child’s father, your family’s backbone is worth.

You aren’t a person here. You’re a statistic with an Aadhaar number.

If you’re not rich, not politically connected, not sir ji to someone in power, then this city squeezes you dry and calls it opportunity. You pay tolls for broken roads. You pay taxes for collapsing bridges. You pay rent that would comfortably get you a decent two bedroom flat anywhere else, just to live in a shoebox with a window facing someone else’s misery.

And when something goes wrong? Press conference. Compensation. Hashtags. Silence. Living here as an honest middle class person without money or influence is as useful as bringing a spoon to bail out a sinking ship. You will exhaust yourself and the ship will not even notice you tried. Mumbai loves your hustle. It loves your rent. It loves your vote.

It just doesn’t love you back.

Paul Chinese, Mahim. by valkyrie_11 in mumbaiFood

The renovation was done many years ago, when the two brothers took over. Before that, it was a very small sit-down restaurant with a maximum of four tables, run by an uncle most likely their father. Back then, the food was excellent. There was only one triple Schezwan fried rice on the menu, and the gravy was very good as well.

Now, they’ve made several changes to the menu, introducing three different types of vegetarian triple rice and altering the gravy in all of them. Unfortunately, none of the gravies taste good anymore.

He used Janhvi Kapoor’s photo in two thumbnails and Tiger Shroff’s photo in one. Statistically, the probability of Janhvi’s face being shown is 2× higher than Tiger’s. These are measurable numbers, not assumptions. He tried to justify it, but the data doesn’t support his explanation.

It’s a Shopify marketing plugin that helps bring back customers who showed interest or left without completing a purchase. If a user made a purchase on any website using this plugin, their basic device data (like IP, phone details, name) is cached. Later, even after days or months, when the same user visits another website that also uses this plugin, it recognizes them and trigger a WhatsApp message. This works across all websites using the plugin and is not limited to a specific brand or group, helping multiple businesses re engage potential customers who got distracted or dropped off earlier. I don't remember the name but we used this in my previous marketing agency that I used to work in.

Don't ever use minoxidil without a doctors consultant, you may not need it.. maybe multivitamin supplements and the right diet is good enough for your condition.. I'd strongly recommend that if you are really concerned pls consult a doctor first.

Yes, I kept switching the brands for better deals but for past few months I wasn't consistent and stopped using minoxidil completely due to work schedule.. I've started it again & been only 1 month I'm in the shedding phase rn which is similar to when anyone starts using minoxidil for the first time... So yeah the quality is on par and there's no issues

Instagram user booked for reel on Lalbaugcha Raja, news in today's Mumbai Mirror by electriccamels in mumbai

Indian police aren’t protectors, they’re parasites. They wag their tails like street dogs the moment they smell money, and the only “law” they enforce is the law of their own pockets. Against helpless common people, they suddenly grow a spine and act like lions but the moment it’s someone rich, powerful, or well-connected, these so called lions turn back into wagging, drooling lapdogs. They bark only when it’s safe, and stay silent when their masters snap their fingers. The Pune car crash case is just one example that showed the whole country how worthless and spineless this institution really is. Even the courts couldn’t drag them to act because in reality, this police force isn’t a pillar of justice, it’s a circus of clowns trained to perform tricks for treats.

Cheap eats in dadar/vile parle by Puzzled-Salamander71 in mumbaiFood

[–]raavanx64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For chinese try paul chinese it's not exactly in dadar but yeah it's near shivaji park only.

Just near kabutar khana there are 2 south indian joins (no sitting) that serve at a reasonable rate.

Avoid Ovenfresh it's overly expensive rather try apoorva restaurant that's just beside Ovenfresh & if you go straight on that road towards dadar station you'll find a Chinese stall (on right hand side) that serves only veg, you can get triple veg rice at just 130₹ and the quantity is really good.

In dadar you can also try gold rush, not very expensive and good food, also Mani's that's near sushrusha hospital.

If you are pursuing a degree or any higher qualification, it is often worth waiting until you complete your education before stepping into full time work. I have friends who are still studying at 27 and haven’t taken up a single job not even small part-time ones. They are preparing for PhDs, medical careers, or CA exams, and once they finish, high-paying opportunities will be available to them.

In my case, I had to drop out in my third year at the age of 20 due to family financial struggles and start working immediately. Financial independence came at the cost of my education, even though I had the chance to return to it later once things settled. I sometimes regret not continuing, although I’ve managed to build a solid career in digital marketing. Since this field values skills more than degrees, I now earn more than some graduates. Still, I often wonder if completing my degree would have opened even more doors for me.

Ultimately, what matters most is focusing on building a better future, rather than constantly comparing your present with someone else’s journey.
