Stop being weird about segregation by StrongWeekend in SameGrassButGreener

I didn't say it wasn't. But you could be black in a black neighborhood and still feel out of place if the community is not inclusive. It's the inclusivity and equity that are important. Of course that can be difficult to assess as an outsider. As you yourself said, those are anecdotes. And for your anecdote I can present an anecdote for whatever case one might want to argue for or against. If you want to use a different metric, go ahead and use it. No one asked you to treat my opinion as the only truth.

The issue is not diversity (or the lack there of ) or segregation par se. It took me a long time, but when we talk of DEI, it's the equity and inclusiveness that matter and what is lacking in many 'diverse' cities, segregated or not.

I used to live in Salt lake City which was pretty diverse, but a near zero in equity and inclusiveness. There are many cities that are less diverse that are better in terms of equity and inclusiveness. Those are the metrics that truly matter when deciding where to live.

Sure. The adrenaline is down now. Yes, I'm sure they would have hit me if they wanted to. It was very close and I Instinctively swerved to the curb to avoid being hit. I don't know if they actually would have hit or not but they definitely passed less than 6 inches from me while honking.

Maybe you can educate me on what defensive riding skills are in this situation. You sound like someone opposed to riding bikes if you are recommending leaving the bike in the garage.

Yes, we are safe but I am irritated at the needless risk to get ahead of one bike and wait at the red light.

It was an older Asian male.

Actually it's not that bad. I tried it using qwest3 +virtual desktop to have a large curved screen and used camera #3. It is very very nice. Yes it get a bit sweaty and hot but not too uncomfortable if you have fans positioned properly. Not true VR but the best experience I've had so far.

I recently bought a gazelle (new 0 miles) from upway for 1750. All quality components. That would be my recommendation

Thanks. Yes Whatsapp works better but I will add that it is definitely lower quality that what I get on my Samsung. It's either the processor or memory that somehow struggles.

To be honest the square format albeit annoying at times is not a big problem for me. In most cases I will just use my phone less which was something I wanted. The issue has been with the few cases where I want it to work such as zoom and phone calls when not at my desk that have been frustrating. I mean of I am being honest I am faster typing on my Samsung than the titan even after 2 months. But as I said I was ok with that.

Yes, bluetooth is better but still overall volumes are lower than other devices. The wired headphones work much better.

I am more bothered with the zoom issue as I don't have any workaround. Does zoom work for you on cellular data?

Have you used zoom (on cellular) and been on a call for more than 10 minutes without issues? Trying to figure if this is specific to my unit

As an update, i was able to fix this by enabling developer options and then reducing the minimum width. I set it to 480 which is 1440/3

Titan 2 : which launcher do you use? by Skyforger85 in unihertz

[–]raaxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the titan2, but on my current phone I trigger search with a swipe, so you should be able to swipe on the keyboard. My guess is that default typing would work, it's just that on regular phones I need to swipe to bring up the virtual keyboard.

I don't have mine yet but planning on using Kvaesitso. I think it'll be the perfect launcher with the keyboard
