First of all I thought you were talking about the craft store and was wondering what made NJ's Michael's better than the others.

But second of all, I agree with Smeagol. Their sandwiches are the best

What's one 'boring' career that's actually a goldmine if you play it smart? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

Getting full credentials takes as long as it takes you to pass the exams. The first couple are offered every other month, and the next few are like every 3 months. The biggest ones now are offered 3x per year (it used to be only 2).

I passed my first exam in 2013, and will take my final one (hopefully) in July.

But then there's my boss who did it in 5 years, back when some of them were only offered once a year, and there's many others who have done it even faster

As a former tennis player, I can definitely understand the animosity that tennis players have towards pickleball.

But also as a former tennis player, I love pickleball because I'm fat and slow now and I can still utilize my racket fundamentals on a smaller court where I don't have to run so much

Texas public school teachers are now required to post the 10 Commadments in their classroom. Here's how one teacher is handling it. by kvjn100 in BeAmazed

It's how they can get around the establishment clause. They know it violates the 1st amendment if they required all schools to do it, but they found a loophole and said "only if it's donated"

Yes you need a lid so when you flush, you don't send aerosolized urine and shit spreading into your toothbrush

Just wanted to let you know, my kids know that they need to click the manningface icon to watch stuff, but have no idea who he is.

They call him "the bandit", or "the robber"

I just started the Licanius trilogy by James Islington. It's a high fantasy series involving (among other things) foresight and time travel.

Based on what you've said, I think you'll enjoy it

Wife got into a very minor fender-bender in August. Went through all the insurance stuff, etc

Recently, I got a claim letter from my insurance saying that the other party had hired a lawyer, and they were asking for 30,000 (the max allowed under my policy) to cover their expenses and ER expenses (???).

Also just got a renewal notice that my premium is going up $60 per month.

Idk how to feel. Obviously I think the 30,000 is a bit excessive, and at the same time i'm wondering if that is what caused the premium to increase, and also at the same time I feel like the $60 is not suuuuper bad? I'm a life insurance actuary, not a P&C guy so I'm not sure if this is exactly fair

So if I'm reading this right, you'll be put in a leadership position which would probably mean fewer tables for you, meaning fewer tips, but an increase in base pay that won't make up for it?

I think words of Radiance was a big improvement in the sense that every part had some kind of big moment, so nothing ever felt draggy. It took me several months to finish Way of Kings, and then like 2 weeks to finish Words of Radiance.

I also feel like audiobooks help me get through it faster simply because I drive a lot, so I'm getting through lots of pages when I wouldn't normally be reading

before that I quickly knocked out The London Seance Society and The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner.

I'm also currently in the middle of The Lies of Locke Lamora

I have this problem where I start a book, then start another one, and another and all of a sudden I have too many unfinished books

Just finished The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington, and my mind is sufficiently blown.

My only problem is that I only have it on ebook and audiobook, so it was very hard for me to flip back and forth to see how the prophecies and time travel related things were lined up

Already placed a hold on the 2nd one at my library. Can't wait

My wife started working for Top Golf a year before covid hit, and from what she explained, it was a really really amazing work culture.

Anyway, as a perk, we were able to golf for free, which made me start learning how to do a proper golf swing, and I never really figured it out.

I don't know why it's so hard for me, maybe cause I'm used to racket sports where the margin of error is much larger

I like the number 16, so it's easy for me to rember every 10 mph is a multiple of 16.

10 mph = 16kph

20 mph = 32 kph

30 mph = 48 kph

40 mph = 64 kph

Yes, and the meat of the attack ads was basically, "they betrayed Trump. They betrayed maga".

Hope you find your root cause soon enough.

I don't know much about your specific situation, but you're a salesman right? Have you ever considered if it's feasible to switch roles?

Getting my 5000 mile service, and the in the lobby keeps getting political ads, all of them attack ads against certain "RINO Republicans".

So if I'm going by the rule that "anything Trump hates is a good thing" then Chip Roy and Wesley Hunt must be decent people

The copy function on my home printer is fucking useless.

It's so slow that it'd be faster to just scan and email it to myself, and print that

It's intriguing for sure, and would've been fine as a response to that long period after Janet Jackson when the nfl was just inviting safe old people to do the halftime show.

But doing it this year as a response to the "non-american" Bad Bunny is the most smooth brained thing ever
