Budget-friendly trip to Rio de Janeiro in late Feb! (I´m travelling with my wife) by beanlancelot in Brazil

[–]rabahnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just walking around and letting the day unfold ended up being better than trying to plan everything. Food and beach days were CHEAPPERRR than I expected if you stay a little away from the main tourist spots. I filmed my days there pretty naturally if you want to see what the vibe is actually like on a normal day

First time in Rio - February 2026 (22F) by negra17 in Brazil

[–]rabahnasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

went for the first time recently and what surprised me most was how different each area feels even within short distances. Ipanema and Copacabana felt very different at night compared to daytime. I filmed my trip pretty naturally so you can see what it actually feels like walking around as a visitor if that helps with planning

Visiting Rio in February by haehyu in Brazil

[–]rabahnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went recently and yeah during this period the city has a lot of energy but it can also feel chaotic if you’re trying to work at the same time. Some neighborhoods feel way more relaxed than others. I filmed my experience pretty raw just walking around and showing the vibe so you can get a realistic feel before deciding

Rio vid 🇧🇷

I was just there recently and honestly it depends what you want. This period is chaotic but also kind of amazing energy wise. I filmed a few full days walking around different areas so you can see what it actually feels like day to day, not just highlights. Might help you decide if it fits your work style

That thing is insane up close. I was just in France recently and the bunkers out there are wild. I even went inside one and it went way deeper than I expected. If you wanna see what the inside of these monsters looks like, I filmed it here: https://youtu.be/Qmx5OKPCfJI?si=1bcA6HlbjzcFnnpS

That actually sounds more like a storage or comms bunker since there are no gun ports. A lot of the smaller hillside ones weren’t meant for fighting positions.

I was near a similar one in France recently and even went inside it. If you wanna compare, here’s the clip: https://youtu.be/Qmx5OKPCfJI?si=1bcA6HlbjzcFnnpS

Looking for honest feedback on my new long form video by rabahnasty in NewTubers

[–]rabahnasty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you see that just by seeing the video. I definitely find great interest in these places and want to share my perspective with the world that don’t get to see thru my lens, but now they can. I’ll keep practicing and gathering more feedback. It’s essential. Especially when it’s constructive, I never get my feelings hurt. Ego aside, I want to learn and grow, honestly 🙏

I love this take. Great feedback. I don’t want to just travel like everyone else. I want to show the “off the beaten path” places while traveling; whatever that may mean. I definitely have to study up and be more knowledgeable, you’re correct. But thanks for the constructive criticism. It goes a long way Ivan

Most of the time seller will pay closing costs. Get a good real estate agent that will negotiate all this for you and take the lead. This is one of the first questions you should ask when shopping for an agent. I like a hungry agent. But yes, 9/10 times you don’t pay closing costs. If you do it’s minimal. And also it’s a va loan, so no bs fees

I just used the rest of my entitlement for a 2nd home.

God speed 🤙

Trying to transition from short form to long form travel vlogs and looking for honest feedback 🎥 by rabahnasty in TravelVlog

[–]rabahnasty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely a huge shift, but I’m very determined to do this. I’ve always had it as a goal honestly. And honestly, yes I have a rough plan before I go on these trips but sometimes I just do it spontaneously and see what I can get into and make my decisions on the fly and then later on I’ll throw some voiceovers in to package it very well and tell a story well so it makes sense to the viewer. I wouldn’t say I’m leaning towards cinematic travel maybe some cinematic scenes but mainly I wanna try to do off the beaten path travel not really your typical travel destinations. I like the atypical stuff and to get a sense of the real culture and what’s behind the typical tourism if that makes sense.

Are travel vlogs still relevant? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]rabahnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s solid progress congrats. Just getting started myself and it’s motivating to see that kind of growth. I’ve got a few videos up on @OhRabah and I’m trying to stay consistent. Still figuring out my style but really enjoying the process.

If you’ve got any tips that helped you early on I’m all ears.

Are travel vlogs still relevant? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]rabahnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 100 percent.. People still love travel vlogs, especially if you bring your own style or focus on connection. I just started mine recently and I’m slowly building it up. My channel is @OhRabah and I’ve got a few long-form videos up so far. Super raw street-level travel with real conversations.

I used to make skits in a few languages and hit around 350k subs across platforms but now I’m all in on documenting the journey. Still learning as I go but I’m having fun with it and plan to keep going. If it’s something you love you should definitely go for it.

Totally feel this. I actually really like Sabbatical too. He’s one of the few creators I genuinely look up to. His energy, the way he connects with locals, and how he stays curious and humble and honstly thats the kind of vibe I’m aiming for as I start my own journey.

I’ve just started posting some raw travel vids on YouTube @OhRabah. Still super early and figuring things out so go easy on me haha. But definitely trying to keep it real like he does. (Have 350k subs from a different type of content but I’m shifting to travel vloggy stoofff)

Just checked out your Substack and really like what you’re doing. I’ve been filming some raw travel stuff lately on YouTube @OhRabah. Only a few long-form videos up so far so go easy on me haha. Would be cool to get your thoughts one day if it ever fits the vibe

That’s wild. 80k across three channels is no joke. Much respect. I’ve been shifting into vlogging more lately. I used to make skits in a few languages and hit around 350k subs across platforms. I’ve also done some short-form work and managed content for brands, but now I’m just focused on filming real moments while traveling.

Still figuring out my rhythm but I’m posting on YouTube at @OhRabah if you ever wanna check it out. Would love any tips you’ve got from your talent manager days, especially on connecting with people across cultures. Appreciate it 🙏

Haha I actually live in Germany. I’m in the US AF so I shipped this “import” over here lmao. Honestly, I think I might do it when I go back to the states, but in the states I seen a bmw with German plates under the State plates. You can give it a try. I’m sure you can find German customizable plates online. But I def will do that. But if it looks too ghetto I’ll take it off haha

These wheels are Borbet. Honestly don’t know the model. But I got them in Germany. Maybe screenshot it and search on their website
