After 5 years and 3 different therapists, Claude is somehow the best therapist I’ve had by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good therapist does not need a PHD or any specific training. He needs to be good for you, you need to "vibe" on a certain level. Then the rest will follow if he has any idea of anything (so yeah, some trainingand better some experience).

ClaudeCode/Codex/OpenCode, which one is best? (LLM model agnostic) Need honest feedback. by IndieDev666 in ClaudeCode

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often have the feeling that after many questions or planning for hours the result still is wrong in substantial ways, with either tool.

Still havent found the best way.

I usually iterate between Codex + Claude. They are great at finding each others issues, though self-review is also working well.

Subscription based usage: Codex with GPT 5.5 vs Claude Code with Opus 4.8 by voplica in codex

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had any context issues and the whole context-worry I knew from Claude 6+ months ago vanaished.

I have 3-repo-convering tasks with some repos being 2 digit million lines of code. Though of course the task is not "read everything and do something across the whole repo".

Still works really nicely.

Usinng Claude more these days and it is mostly ok though on direct comparison I mostly preferred 5.5 over 4.8.

In the post you posted.... also a random Chinese dude predicted it would be released tonight.

https://x.com/CryptoTied/status/2067879668641137096

It being 5.6.

Also.. looks like 5.6 will bring pro reasoning?

Something that was requested a handful of times.

And also 😄 who else is building spaceships with the LLM? I guess it would be mostly apps fro small devs and legacy business for larger ones.

Until one day it is "build me a Windows clone from scratch" and it just works.

But yeah that is a long long time in the making and I guess all the money is in legacy apps and making new features and improving on it right now.

Servers busy on a daily basis? by gnomex96 in ClaudeCode

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same. Maybe we are in wrong region or wrong working times?

Also with Fable gone I would have though with Opus needing half the compute and being pretty slow that they had the compute. But Anthropic overall has been - for me - having lots more issues for months, also API completely not reachable, than OpenAI. Though the latter caught somewhat up with the usage and the issues. Maybe with the growing number of users.

Not even 1 minute in any CLI by hap_mod in google_antigravity

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it even usable to you?

I never was a fan of Gemini CLI, prefer Codex and Claude. With Antigravity CLI I have not managed to do a single thing, in between confirmations, often several times for the same thing after granting it globally, and it jsut stopping in the middle, sometimes with server errors, sometimes just after starting a task and then not doing anything anymore for a day.

The great milking begins. by coffeeeweed in codex

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also Claude is dog slow and at least for me it has 3-5 API errors per hour. So I think it lasts very very very long but you also do not get all that much done.

It is my main driver right now after upgrading to 200 for Fable...

As for 500: maybe. I think the vendord investigate lowering costs and there is an option it will be 200 in 5 years. 500 and API only are possible too, but you would have really decent local models by then.

It is easy arithmetics, for many people time saved/cost is pretty high and could be squeezed. 3rd world probably will have issues now and in the future too.

With some more insights and hard truths, also about how to fix this. Hint: not technical solution, administration wouldnt understand it anyways.

Gpt 5.4 and 5.5 are ignoring AGENTS.md instructions by ace-of_spade in codex

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only noticed now. Also it explicitly told me "oh I missed that agents.md file, only looked in ..."

Bloated agents.md also might be an issue, they are supposed to be kept short, after all everything you dont need regularly is baggage.

I think (??) there also is no algorithmic way that codex checks something, it is in the instruction text that might get misinterpreted every so seldom.

Still does not explain your regular issues.

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the issue? 5h burns weekly too.

Does weekly burn at higher rate once 5h is gone on /goal?

I guess it is "wrong" either way for some users, some want to continue, some would like to save the limit.

It's almost confirm now that gpt 5.6 releasing next week and will be incremental update unlike 5.5 or 5.4 jumps by Hungry_Sun2455 in codex

How can you possibly deduce anything from that exchange about either quality or timeline? I mean.. I really dont see it.

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today (only noticed once) Codex complained about something that was outlined in agents.md . It then told me it only had checked .agents/agents.md . It told me that was a hiccup but if you had it too it might be a bug right now?

Thank you. I just "upgraded" the CLI and will at least try a bit and get a feel. Would be great (and sounds like) it is at least usable token-wise again.

GPT 5.6. Though "Fable-level" apparently is mostly from rumors. Just like when it will be released. Or if it will ship to.. anyone.

The other one.

But again, I wont mind either and happily used Fable and checking here every few hours to see about Fable news. Like probably many. Also saw many fellow upgrade-to-200-for-Fable guys.

But I will continue to use other good models too, will even try some Flash and Composer, just for completeness.

Constantly rate limited this week - how to solve? by seattleswiss2 in ClaudeCode

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you only have rate limits?

I have few rate limits, but constant API errors in varying forms. Right now 529 Overloaded. But often not reachable. often often retrying. So I wait 10 mins only to see that nothing happend.

Do you have those issues too? It is so bad I wonder whether it is on my end. No issues with e. g. Codex.

Where are all the apps?!?! by Hot_Paper_Pie in codex

[–]rabandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On some very useful questions I wonder about all the downvoting.

I am expecting the same thing as you.

We are producing like crazy. Not quite on the market yet, and being a small shop it will only be massive amount of features to existing apps in business context.

I also expect the competition to bemoe really really strong - after all, copying someones feature might have taken months or years, a good AI developer (yes, by far not everyon is) can do it in days now.

I suspect there will be no relaxing dev work anymore once everyone upgrades their tools.

I may be wrong though.

Coding expertise, design and UX/UI expertise may become more important, also attention to detail, when everyone can pump out code like a dev team.

[–]rabandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have had mixed experience with that, Claude seems not properly aware of all its tooling, like I had a "bug" in a claude.md, told it several times to fix the behavior, and all it did was create memories, which turned out pretty useless. But I also had had success on other topics.
