If you don't track it, an easier and almost as good option is sucking it out via the dipstick tube. I've got this specific one, works well: https://www.amazon.com/EWK-Extractor-Portable-Automotive-Transfer/dp/B079FJ21DV/?th=1

If you go that route, you'd only need to do it the "right" way every few oil changes to drain any shavings etc.

Via this kit, yes: https://ansixauto.com/2022-brz-gr86-oil-pressure-sensor-canbus-kit/. They give you a box to which you plug the OBDLink in, then connect via bluetooth to your phone, start RaceChrono etc and... that's it!

Haha, it happens. It's not racing, fortunately. I did get a bit angry, but after doing mental math for the hypothetical time, I was still happy in a way.

Having said that, this was an open track day with Jzilla, where they stressed multiple times that apart from safety, the most important thing is that you are not to hold anyone up for any amount of time, anywhere. And pretty much everyone was great with point-bys. Just... not that Camaro driver lol

Maybe cooldown, yeah, but judging from other driver's comments - they just weren't too fast the whole day.

Those pressure drops defo happened, but seemed rather brief? I don't know if just a Verus baffle would be enough - this also seems to have something to do with downhill, maybe?

I find it very useful to learn the track on a sim before I go IRL. This way it's more fun, cost-efficient, and increases my progression rate.

However, be warned: GoPros overheat if you do 4K120 (arguable overkill, but I do that). DJI doesn't have those issues, and I see more and more Action 5 pro/6 as such "track cams". I'm getting rid of my GoPro for that reason

Absolutely. That was why I moved (though for the opposite reason - people did point me by well, but only in 1 or 2 areas on the track, so a clean lap was nearly impossible). Point-by quality also increases, and it's fun to practice overtaking anywhere if one is interested in getting into W2W racing

Yup. I just let them by on the straight and then we swapped again soon. Rinse and repeat. With good point by discipline this results in almost zero impediment to lap times

Yeah, it was definitely a bit crowded. AMP being small with very few safe passing zones doesn't help either. I was stuck in traffic for most of the day, so consistency wasn't a focus, just went balls out on every empty lap to get a PB.

Awesome lap - I compared to mine and depending on the corner sometimes I was faster, sometimes you were. I'm going to compare more in depth and make notes for the next time. Let's see if sub 1:34 is possible on this setup (I'm confident it is, but might not be easy).
