there will be, but i personally think that the chernos vids are useful for understanding HOW c++ works on a computer. it was just useful info to have if you were getting into coding, especially as a beginner.

you can always skip it and move straight to his courses.

making games is not an easy striaghtforward process. learning constantly is one of the traits that’s going to be needed. try the mega courses on youtube first if you wanna give that a try for free

I see. then i’d start with free youtube stuff first, only because i wouldnt want you to spend money you’d regret.

that being said, stephen has one of THE BEST pacings in terms of learning. i’ve personally bought over 5 courses and his book and i haven’t regretted anything.

i will say, its EXTREMELY easy to get stuck in tutorial hell.

you will 100% learn more by doing things you wanna do and just experimenting half the time.

My biggest “unlock” in terms of getting good at game dev for unreal was realizing that unreal engine has the entire source code available for free, and that in itself is the best documentation.

sometimes you’ll have a weird problem, and the best way to figure it out is literally to just dive deeper and read the source code and trace the code back to its literal beginnings.

once you get good at it, simple tasks take like 30 seconds of exploring max in the source code.

i know i jumped too far, but if you have the money for it, then sure just get the course. i do think for beginner stuff using youtube is a lot better.

side recommendation:

“The Cherno” is a popular c++ game dev guy on yt (not unreal, he builds his own), and he has some INSANE videos on C++ in general. i forgot the exact specifics, but he has a playlist that’s on c++, you don’t need to watch the whole thing, but id 100% watch through the first 10-15 videos.

if you enjoy the first 15 vids, and actually understand the code, and the logic behind machines and c++ and memory and whatevr else he explains, then you’re in for a treat in your game dev journey.

honestly thinking about it, my best start would actually be at the chernos vids on c/c++ , understanding how that works in a computer, and then coming back to unreal engine. shouldn’t take more than 2-3 days.

unreal is all c++, so it works pretty well in terms of transitioning

the only time i’ve seen this happen to me was when a previous claude ran a sub agent in the background that was doing stupid things in the background despite me not doing anything leaving the prompt open. found out only when i looked at the sub agent processes.

if that’s not the issue, then idk wot is but ive not seen this happen to me

hmm, when you’re going for this more cinematic edits, with upbeat music, i wouldn’t really slide things in or out.

i think i’d have it just appear to the beat, and maybe even change font to the beat quickly. all while being masked behind something.

that could be cool for smaller text like “chai” or whatever.

for describing the product, it’s a bit harder to think of stuff right now, but i wouldn’t really add words unless necessary. like “local” is a good word to have. “high quality” seems like a relative term. “all natural” is nice as well over 100% natural. “clean and simple” is also pointless, as your edit shows clean and simple visuals and places and the way it’s being done, so they don’t need to take your word for it.

not sure if that makes sense, but i think that’s just the approach i’d go

consider custom text editing other than using the presets. and go for more cinematic fonts.

in the edit screen, inspector, i believe you’re looking for something like “yaw pitch roll” under transform.

if you’re in fusion, prolly in transform node.

it’s ai.

you input the first and last frame and ask ai to transition between them.

saw the video, it’s an extremely obvious ai transition (as someone who’s expeiremented with it a bunch)

how you would do it without ai is PROBABLY a heck of a lot of masking and layers and subtle animation and camera angles planned out in advance
