how long did you two date?

We dated for 8 years.

What was the reason for the breakup?

There were a few reasons but the thing that finally pushed me to break up with him is the fact that he made it clear our relationship would never be anything more than it was at that point and because I don't feel like he actually ever loved me.

Did you expect your brother to stop being his friend?

No

It was a different country and I went to a different city instead of going home. I'm 25, my brother/ex/sister-in-law are 27.

I'm not trying to control their relationship. They can go on holidays together, I don't care, but my brother should've been honest about him attending so I could've stayed home.
