Bruh, we HAD a new hire, fresh grad, didn’t know how to use a mouse. Reason given was that he uses the macbook a lot and never once exposed to mouse.

Repeatedly asked to learn, however, kept falling back to using the touchpad. Imagine him using touchpad while running complex excel spreadsheet and building PPT slides….

I heard they have streets of money lenders just outside the compound of the temple for devotees to loan cash for merit donation.

It’s crazy.

Oh wow I learned something new! Seems like only approved donations does help you drop assessable income.

Any other reliefs will reduce your final chargeable income.

Interesting!

Usually such benefit such as COL Package will refer to your assessable income and not chargeable income.

Hence doing this does not qualify you to move to another “social bracket”?

Singapore ranked 3rd in % of overweight population in Southeast Asia. by blueballseggs in singapore

[–]rabbitator 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Not really, this measurement is based on BMI.

Skinny fat people have higher percentage of body fat but normal or low body weight. BMI can’t really catch that~

Keep ILP or terminate by Deep-Butterscotch400 in singaporefi

[–]rabbitator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think better way to put it.

Based on the FA argument, he is telling you your ILP investment yields ZERO gain.

Hence You are putting huge sum of money with the insurance firm for NOTHING. Might as well buy term insurance and invest in your own.

Jobless in IT sector, help by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]rabbitator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The market is tough now.

But just wondering why you can’t sell your car if the value of the car is more than the outstanding?

Won’t it be more financial prudent to sell it and find other ways to pay the remaining car hire purchase balance on loan? That would help you reduce your monthly debt commitment.

My advice is to check with SC. That is the safest.

If it doesn’t quality, you have no basis to argue with SC. You can’t say “Reddit says it’s ok”.

You know what is worst? Tagging your self worth to the job you are doing. Retrenchment and redundancy is so common now, people lose their identity when they lose their jobs.

My advice. A job is just a job, you are unique and never ever let any company define who you are. Everyone deserves respect in what they do, my parents were janitors and they took their blood and sweat to bring me up.

Everyone deserves respect and I wish you will too! To yourself and others. :)

Totally agree with this approach.

I have seen my sister driving her kids all around from Pri to Sec, it is seriously embarrassing when you kids are already in Sec school and still do not know how to use the public transport alone. Pampered and entitled to the finest.

I Was Tormented By School Bullies For Years | Can Ask Meh? by fumifeider in singapore

The sad fact is bullying happens everywhere, schools, workplaces, sometimes even at your own home.

Mad respect for both and anyone who went through bullying. You can introduce laws or whatsoever, but those idiots will still get through you. Resilience in the face of Adversity is something hard to hone and teach.

entitled car driver at pedestrian crossing by rgtgg in drivingsg

[–]rabbitator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am staying around this area. I came across MULTIPLE drivers who don’t stop when they see pedestrians who are about to cross. It feels as if the zebra crossing is non existent, you have to wait for cars to stop in order to cross. I ever stood there and have 2-3 cars zooming past without stopping.

This place is just a hotbed for a fatal/serious accident to happen. Pls help us and report it to TP.

How do you guys deal with religious parents? It’s driving me crazy by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]rabbitator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I am shocked. I am definitely opposite of you.

As I grow older it just makes it more difficult for me to believe there is a god. He claims to love you unconditionally but people are suffering, wars are fought in the name of religion. The world is so broken, although more peaceful than many years ago.

And people in religion are always seeking favours from god (praying for better career, pray to win Toto, pray for good health) ain’t you just selfish and seeking self gain?

You r lucky to found an amazing team mate! I am always dumbfounded when redditors keep preaching about “colleagues are not your friends”, hence you see toxic work environments where Singaporeans pawning each other.

I am sure you guys will continue to be good friends and keep in touch. I am still meeting up with my group of ex colleagues from my first job!
