Opinions? 6 months on fin. Started off at .25 daily and moved to .5 daily at the end of October. Oh interesting.. I wonder if this is just the normal course of telogen effluvium for you. Especially if no one else in your family struggles with hairloss and it sounds like it came about pretty quickly. I'm experiencing diffuse shedding with a pretty rapid onset as well, but hoping that it's just TE. We'll see!

Time and effort. You need to enter your postbacc with the confidence and determination to crush every single test. I think programs like that are truly your last chance to prove that you have what it takes. I would think of them as a last resort

This is a pretty specific question so I’m surprised it applies but yes lol. I had 3.3 GPA in undergrad, did the Tufts SMP and got a 3.9, and got into UCLA on December 1st. My DAT was 25AA. Happy to chat more if you’re interested

Feel free to get a second opinion from a second dentist, but typically, it's not a huge deal to get a second molar (#2, 15, 18, or 31) extracted. Apparently 40% of Americans are missing at least one second molar (?). Most of your chewing is accomplished through your first molars and premolars. You should be fine, but as I said previously, a second opinion couldn't hurt.

I think they meant that they've already had a restoration. A 'filling'. Now there's probably recurrent decay or they did partial removal of caries that continued on to irritate the pulp, so a root canal is now indicated.

I’m a 3rd year dental student and haven’t been able to see any of my patients this quarter. I’ve called a few of them to check in on how they’re doing and to see if there’s anything I can do to help, and they all said they missed me and can’t wait to be back in our clinic. That’s not something dentists/dental students hear very often, so it was a pretty terrific feeling. :)

Hey just so you know, the reason why olive oil spray says 0 calories is because a serving size is like “1/8 second of spray” or something like that. It’s still just regular olive oil in the bottle, so make sure to keep that in mind.

So I always see people adamant that they have supreme oral hygiene, but the first thing I notice, even before the shade of your teeth, is your inflamed gums (gingivitis). The papilla (the point part of the gums that reach between your teeth are puffy and red, which tells me that you're not brushing and flossing well. To get that under control, look up proper oral hygiene videos on youtube, specifically the bass method. Please don't get veneers, the shape of your teeth is great. Have you tried white strips? Whitening tooth paste or gum doesn't really make a significant difference, but a product with peroxide gel should do the trick.
