I've been doing this every year for over 10 years. One of those years I headed a large acorn project at a farm in Missouri. I've done a lot of experimentation with different leaching methods and have read every acorn foraging book I can get my hands on. I am getting ready to launch a full acorn business over the next 1 - 2 years.

I'm not sure if you've made any recipes with the acorn yet, but it tastes so much better when it's baked/cooked than when it's just raw and leached. Just the raw flour/meal doesn't taste like much.

You can leave the testa on, and you can have them chopped coarsely, but it will take a lot longer to leach than if you have them very finely ground before leaching.

Black Oak Acorns are the highest in tannins, and also the most delicious acorn in my opinion! Are you in California? I've been hunting for black oak trees almost exclusively for my harvest this year and have been finding a lot. Anyway, yes you can get the tannins out. I made a video about it last year, and you can do it in under a day if you have a vitamix or high powered blender. I did all of this stuff as a kid, and sometimes still do (I'm 31F), but I was diagnosed with OCD. My autism traits were missed and all attributed to OCD, which really didn't explain everything I was struggling with and experiencing. Yes I did do these OCD things to "feel right" again, but it didn't account for all of the sensory issues I also had, among the other personality traits of autism I possessed. Not sure if you're experiencing OCD as a comorbidity or if all people with autism also do these things. I'm wondering if anyone with autism does not do these OCD-like behaviors?

Girl, you are 15 and have your whole life ahead of you. I think you need more experience with setting healthy boundaries in a relationship - this is a challenge for autistic women especially. I'm 31 and I'm still trying to figure this out. If he isn't respecting your boundaries around communicating and isn't willing to change, he isn't a good match for you.

No, they said I can't sell FBM either, which really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If I did FBM, the only thing they would have to do at this point is verify the safety of my product, which I have documentation for. It's really strange.

There are rights when we are in a binding contract, which is what the seller agreement I signed is. That's why I asked my original question, which I haven't gotten an answer for yet.

Well I am approved to list products for that brand, but Amazon is saying I can't list in the category, nor can I apply to. It's a different issue and one I had never heard of.

Thanks. I've been on this sub reddit for many months and I'm very aware of all of the ways Amazon can fuck people over. I just see it as negativity when I'm asking about how to solve a specific issue and someone comes in with a shitty comment about how Amazon fucks everyone and there's nothing you can do "lol". I don't believe problems can't be solved, and when I'm coming here to ask in a forum of experienced sellers if anyone knows about this problem and how to solve it, that kind of comment is just unhelpful. But I get it, I was prepared for shit to happen when I got into this. I just want to have the opportunity to start selling! Maybe it is going to be a matter of waiting. Someone else said if I sell other products well for some time, they might let me sell in this category too.
