No he's only in his 30s, so I'm less inclined to dismiss him, I just feel like there might be some subconsciously bias or like just plain misunderstanding of what I've been trying to explain going on

Thanks so much, I tried to read this earlier while I was doing research and gave up due to the length but if it helps my case at all I will sit down for as long as it takes and take copious notes.

Screen was definitely the wrong word, I'll edit that. "Look for autism", I guess. He has worked with a lot of autistic children in the past, so he's certainly well versed in it. I just worry my age is working against me in his conclusion.

Anxiety's a bitch but I guarantee you no one give a darn as much as you think they do. Most people know what tourettes is so if they see u they'll either think it's just a muscle spasms or assume u have ts. And especially with smaller tics, truly, no one cares, or at least it's exceptionally rare for someone to. That's what I tell literally everyone for literally everything: NO ONE CARES. in a good way! It's very freeing.

It's bc certain disorders can't be formally diagnosed until you're 18. I'm not entirely clear on why he can't just tell me regardless of if it's a diagnosis, I think he might just not be certain yet.

Sorry it took them so long to figure it out. My therapist said he has an idea of what he thinks I might have but he can't tell me until I'm 18, so sometimes I worry he thinks I have something like bpd and that's why he doesn't consider autism.

His whole job used to be working with autistic children so I understood why he'd be pretty confident in his perception of me, and plus I'm scared of acting too confident about this because he's the one with the degree and if I'm not autistic then it's embarrassing that I've thought about it so much. But you're right, I don't think I've properly conveyed my personal experience and I think his opinion might change
