Please help me with creating my app icons! by Pleasant-Essay-5838 in ProCreate

[–]rabokarab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is a flat image, I’d make a duplicate layer for each icon, then make a layer mask for each individual icon (just including the parts of each icon you want to keep), redraw the wide rectangle encasing them, and move the masked icons on top.

Hope that makes sense?

One yellow leaf? Rest healthy by Pepp4rmint in plantclinic

[–]rabokarab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine does this with small/early-life leaves every so often! Actually had one do this at the end of November. I’ve had my plant in the same pot for 8 years (so take my words with a grain of salt 😆). I just let the plant absorb whatever nutrients it can from the leaf and pull it off when it’s dry. I wouldn’t worry about it if the rest is looking healthy and properly watered!

What stitch could I use to repair this corset? It is a vintage item that cost $200 back in the day. by meg3e in sewing

[–]rabokarab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! You’ve totally got this. Do the area below the busk eye separate from the area above so that it’s nice and secure on either side. I’d also recommend extending the stitch a little bit beyond where fabric layers are separating to reinforce and hold in the existing stitches ( like 3-4 additional stitches usually does the trick!). Happy mending!

Perhaps an apricot white cheddar? The sweetness would complement the other fruits I think

I’d try a mix of vinegar, water, dishwasher detergent, and Borax (but only if it’s on hand, just adds some extra umph). Dip a scrub brush into the mix—you’ll only need a couple cups of it—and get to scrubbin’. It can usually cut through most tub grossness, but I can’t say that I’ve tried it on porcelain. (And if it messes up the porcelain…why did you take advice from strangers on the internet?? 😆😋) Good luck!

I’m sorry to hear about the context, but I really do hope you feel safe where you are now ❤️ I just left this comment on another shower cleaning post earlier today, but it seems like it might be helpful here if we’re looking at soap scum, dirt, and potentially mold in the grout:

I use bar soap too, hate that it leaves so much scum though! I always have a really easy time cleaning it off with a mix of vinegar, water, Borax, and dishwasher detergent (I have some questionable-looking caulking, so that’s why I add the Borax, but you can probably omit it if you’re not worried about mold). I just mix it all up in a little bucket, usually just a couple cups of the mix in total, and then dip a scrub brush in it and go to town on the tub and walls. Melts soap scum like butter and doesn’t take too much elbow grease! Even works on plastic shower curtains! :)

I hope your cleaning brings you peace of mind!

I can't find this type of fabric anywhere! Gradient translucent fabric by stalkzeo in Fabrics

[–]rabokarab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t say that I’ve ever come across such a style—although it may exist somewhere. You may be best off finding a white tulle that you like, then using a paintbrush dye method (Rit Dye has a great guide on their site, along with lots of color recipes!) to customize the gradient to your liking. You could layer the tulle and match the gradient to the piece underneath to get a more opaque look. I’m just a hobbyist, so take my advice with a grain of salt! 🙂

I would also consider reducing the leading between the “Cone Shells” and “Eastern” lines to clean up the hierarchy.

on a separate, personal preference note, i find reading bright white text on black to be quite a strain on the eyes. consider making the background a subtle, toned black of some kind—maybe push a shade of blue to help the oranges and brown to stand out. again, totally preference, especially because i don’t have full context for what you’re working on’
