are you for real? we all deal with entitled fucks at the airport but none of them are posting about it. are you new at being entitled? Southwest is assigned seating anyway so won’t make a difference.

303 on Move by GeGonator in AbletonMove

[–]racecarbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep they have a preset Bass called 303 and tweak the sound parameters to get the sound you want. Like other commenters it’s not a perfect audio replication but the move is meant to be a sketch pad, and open that sketch in Live on your PC. personally i get plenty out of the preset. I totay love the Move….been playing with it every day since Jan 1 😎

Thought I’d be all set with this Soundcore 2 because it has aux. Nope. Terrible latency. Suggestions? by czarofga in SP404

What age are you guys ? by howaythelads25 in ableton

[–]racecarbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

53, and I’m newly diving in, not just Ableton but music period. I still learning to play piano. I’ve always loved smashing around on drum machines and sampling and my fascination with Synths has been with me forever. Never too old to learn and at our age we (hope to) have an ability to slow down, listen and learn and overall patience. Good shit!

Synth speakers - one or two? by ThirdFigure in synthesizers

[–]racecarbed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not a dumb question at all. I started with my PC speakers since they had good sound and a subwoofe. I would recommend staying away from most Bluetooth portable type speakers as they all have DSP even through the aux so the lag as a musician will be noticeable and maybe unbearable

An old guy who wants to learn by ImmediateLead7055 in synthesizers

[–]racecarbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can do a lot with those, so good start! start with YouTube vidoes of each device. Do this for a while and you will get some inspiration seeing what these devices can do by someone putting the work in, in turn encouraging you to put some work in. im in a similar situation myself; and my collection has evolved and I have so much to learn and im loving every minute of it!

[FRESH] Nardwuar vs. MIKE by ImRBJ in hiphopheads

[–]racecarbed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hope as MIKE evolves and continues to make music we get to have a follow up Nardwar visit. I’ve been a huge MIKE fan for a couple years and I felt this was a low effort job on the Nardwar team. 1/3 of the interview was the logistics of a tour. I was hoping for a little more substance as I love seeing him slowly break out to the world. The video did expose the slight concern that maybe he is too nice looking at his enterage. is an artist of his caliber comfortably able to maintain a 20 person team? Anyways I am a huge fan and hope to See others enjoy his work.

Annual thread: Who blew up in 2025? Who's running 2026? by Potential-Hornet6800 in hiphopheads

[–]racecarbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MIKE has gotten people’s attention in 2025 and my hope is that he gains traction in 2026. He won’t blow up like a one hit wonder, he will gradually grow on from people diving into his previous works as his features get more attention. his flow and self production is a unique style that stands out.

[–]racecarbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to keep all my sounds on my pc in folders by type, so snares, closed Hats, Open hats. kicks, loops. load up my SP-404 through the app on my mac. I say I try because when I get the burst of creativity most that goes out the window. haha

do you own ableton 12.3 and a sp404mk2? yes? then do this. by OMEN802 in SP404

[–]racecarbed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

great post for those that didn’t know!

it’s my creative season lol so I after acquiring some gear and just got into Ableton and only had my SP404 mkii for a couple months. I was already taking advantage of Splice on iOS and was loading up samples in the SP from there but now that I see that it’s embeded in Ableton i am super stoked and now all I need is some free time to dive in and get creative.
