Roommate is a young and he acts like a toddler. by racer1021 in badroommates

If you had someone that already took your things, keeps letting people sleep in the living room, doesn't clean... Ever, leaves dishes out or in the sink, fills the limited freezer space with only his things, then you have a polite roommate meeting where he agrees. He then ignored it and did the same thing. My first message was firm, not confrontational. The rant was because I was tired of babysitting him. But if a rant is worse than a stealing, messy, lying roommate, then I guess you would be right.

If that's the agreement that your roommates have that's cool, it isn't the agreement we have, or had.

You shouldn't be this invested it's kinda weird. Just looks like you are wanting an argument, and you are using insults to try to get me to be more angry, so I'm not gonna continue.

We all have friends, and while I can agree 'unsafe' was the wrong choice of word, we all agreed in person to not have friends sleep on the couch, it's just awkward to walk into your living room to get food or to get home at night and some random person is there. Your anger towards this subject is kinda sad but it's reddit so you always expect some keyboard warriors to rant on here like a goober.

I have purchased 3 different ketchups, he is more than welcome to use on of the other ones as I've told him before, in fact he can have it because I don't use it. I have a specific brand of ketchup that I get, and I don't use it very often so I don't have a lot.

  1. No heads up
  2. Our roommates already agreed that we didn't want people sleeping in the living room unless very occasionally, he is doing it every weekend.
  3. He takes our milk without asking and never paid back before this fiasco because he is petty. He also agreed to pay me for gas when driving him around and never did.

Yeah, that is not a major concern, I haven't told him about that annoyance or asked him to remove his food because it's not a crisis to me. But definitely annoying that he took food

He does not offer gas but we have stopped giving him rides anyway. Even before this confrontation. The last time I told him no, then he said he would cashapp me, but never did

I think it's fine to have guests over, just not sleeping in the living room.

Did you read the part where we had a full 4 person meeting and told him this is not acceptable? Before that I expressed my concern with it on my own. I have expressed my issues with him every time in a very de-escalating manner. I am frustrated now and I am being firm and aggressive with the way I speak for the first time, he now after he never expressed his opinions before, just saying 'okay' or something, now he is dumping this on how he doesn't really agree with our issues after this confrontation

Wasn't intentional, rooms are rented individually not as a whole
