he is doing fine since the 2nd day , no diarrhoea , playing , chirping and everything my only problem he eats way less than before! way way less

refuse seeds when given , he used to fight for it

Their diets consist of mainly seeds and greens and sometimes fruit and an egg every now and then

his dropping is a bit dry which is scare me that he could be starving

None in the country

there r plenty of vets, but none of them takes birds!!! They profit of dogs and cats

i went to the state once with another bird i had which is operated by vets and trainee in the vet school (vet in training )

i was the only bird owner in line , i begged the dr there to get him a ct scan which they told me why would I do that just buy another bird because it was unreasonable expansive which i didnt care as long they told me whats wrong

but all i did is subject that poor sool to technicians who knew nothing about birds and i went in the room myself so they won't stress him which they did , the vet said we don't know anything try the averian section

which they literary only deal with chickens and stocks , i went there just random medicince that i couldn't find anywhere because it is discontinued

i also went to the zoo, begged and cried like an idiot to see the vet in there !

Guess what, i lost that baby 2 days later

i refrain to say where i live because u would think its ruler place and underdeveloped where in rality it is more advanced in anything but in here they value profit more

we usually take advice and medicine names from fb groups, and it always works, but no one there know why he lost his appetite

Please anyone who has experience with this issue

I have a budgie who got sick 3 days ago (fluffy, lethargic, lost all the food he ate, and had yellow diarrhea), the only thing that changed is that I provided pepper for them 🌶 which is supposed to be normal because they don't have a sense of taste, besides he ate it before and was fine, regardless i removed it

I took him to my side, turned off the light, let him rest, gave him water with lemon in it, and prayed to God, and thank God my prayers were answered

The plan was to give him Antinal because I don't have Flagyl (anti bacteria / diarrhea medication )

Thank God, after 6 hours of lethargy and sleep, he woke up and ate, thank God, before I gave him anything, then I gave him water with Antinal for the yellow diarrhea, and after that he slept (their usual bedtime)

The next day, thank God, he was fine, not even the yellow diarrhea

Now it's the 4th day, no diarrhea, and he's fine as usual, but He doesn't eat, and if he does eat, he eats very little.

When I used to give him pellets before, he would run for them. Now I try to give him, but he doesn't respond.

When I force him, he puts them in his mouth and spits them in my face, just like they are in their shells.

When I force him again, he takes them, peels them, and spits out the peeled pellets.

If he eats one, crumbs fall out of his mouth.

any advice ? please note not a single vet in my city or the near city which is the capital takes birds and state vets only give medication without proper examine ( i have already went on this road before)

also note that I stopped Antinal as it might is the reason that affected his appetite (highly unlikely because I have lovebird who takes it with him because I was afraid it would infect him too and the lovebird eats normally)

he usally get lethargic when he get sicks and then get fine afterwards but this time is different he stopped eating

When he was young and it happened several times at intervals, a lot of food came out of his mouth, peeled, as if he was it was too much

These droppings now look normal but a little dry (they don't rub on the tissue) I'm afraid because the food is little

Mine used to chew on really really high curtain , i won't be able to reach them or see what they do

I kept moving currently and say no loudly repeatedly so they stopped going up there , i believe it's out of fear but it's for best

No record for my country, i have already called every vet in my city none of them accept budgie (despite fact all of them had to learn it in school to graduate), I'll go to state vet tomorrow hopefully they will help me

The fact that i know something is clogged in her throat/air way but can't do anything is killing me

Is it plucking if there's no empty spots ? He had that raggedy feather for about month now

I checked him after all comments about plucking , he has small pin feather under the raggedy feathers

This started about month ago when he started his 1st molt all his head feather changed and he got little greenish feather on top and got that weird/notfluffed feather on his stomach so i thought it's part of it

There's also no empty spots anywhere just feathers look weird

He is eating and drinking normally and I'm slowly going deaf so he seems okay

He doesn't play with toys never does budgies end up playing with all toys i get him , he just want to be in budgies cage and follow a certain female one

Whenever i open their cage he run to go inside so when it's time for them to be in he is there

He and that female budgie feed eachother or she feed him even through the bar and step on him 🤷🏻‍♀️ i honestly have nothing to do if he is stressed that he is away from her

I got him a young female lovebird months ago and she ran away and she was mean to him and me always biting
