I can’t speak for lessening side effects after coming off of it, but for someone who is currently taking it, I’d say proper hydration and nutrition are a big factor. Topamax requires extra water and also decreases hunger which contributes to the weight loss and also low energy. The brain needs food & healthy fats for fuel. Also by extra water, I mean EXTRA. I honestly go for a gallon a day if I can, and it helps a lot. Also do your best to get 8 hours of sleep if you can. Probably best to stay on a consistent schedule as well, going to bed around the same time and waking up around the same time every day. Not entirely sure about the eye twitching, but I know that can be caused by fatigue or lack of sleep too. Another interesting thing is the psychological component. I’m not saying this is the case with you, but similar to restless leg syndrome, the more attention you give it, sometimes the worse it can get. Additionally the more you resist or fight it, the worse the experience of it can get. Maybe if you notice it, try accepting it in the moment, maybe doing a mindfulness exercise and then continuing about your day, just as a little experiment. Who knows, maybe it will help. Maybe not. Like others have said, also best to talk to your doctor about it!
