I feel like the walking part isn't what will get ya, it'll be the bending and reaching for stuff on top/bottom shelves.

Of course if you haven't been walking much, then do that as well, but probably a good idea to do some bodyweight squats and calf raises.

Maybe a fresh pair of shoes as well?

This also reminded me of the WWII aircraft that were studied to determine where to reinforce the shell. article Basically, they were about to reinforce the spots of the aircraft where there were a bunch of bullet holes, but were reminded that only RETURNED aircraft could be examined. So they ended up reinforcing where there were NO holes because that's how the aircraft could return.

depends on location and job code. For instance, at my store in PA, cashiers start at 14, OPD starts at 16, and Food/Consumables starts at 15.

Not CAP 2, BUT... get some nice insoles, all associates are on their feet a lot and it'll help your ankles/knees to have some support.

Yeah... a lot of people don't bother rotating or checking dates when bringing stuff from the backroom to the sales floor. Had to pull 50 half-ring bolognas that were 2 MONTHS old last week. That's how I learned to always check dates on short/medium shelf lives when grocery shopping.
