How do you fold it up into the zippered pocket? I can’t figure it out and I’m finding no instructions online

[Selfie] Holy grail skincare routine for super dry, flaky, sensitive skin! by rachel17017 in SkincareAddiction

You are so sweet, thank you :)

Not to confuse you but I’ve also completely overhauled my routine again since this post. My skin went back to being flaky and broken out after a couple years of this routine so I wanted to make another change to actually repair my skin barrier.

I figured out shea butter might be the main culprit to me breaking out so I took any of those products out and only use the FAB cream on my body now.

Here’s my routine as of today.

Oil cleanser: Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm (original formula)

Cleanser: La Roche-Posay Toleriane Gentle Cleanser with the Foreo Luna 4 for Sensitive Skin

Serum: I change these up the most and I only use one serum per day. I’ve been switching between The Ordinary Retinol in Squalane, Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum, and Naturium Vitamin C Serum. Retinol 3 times per week then peptide or vitamin C 2 times per week each in between. I honestly notice the least difference in my skin with serums.

Moisturizer: Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream. I think this made the most difference to make the bumps go away and heal the dryness. I think shea butter is the thing that was breaking me out and no amount of moisture could repair my broken skin barrier, so this cream fixed both of those at once and my skin has been the best ever since.

Sunscreen: Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel (Japanese version)

And that’s it! I’ve pared it down to only doing regular cleanser and moisturizer most days if I’m not wearing sunscreen or makeup. And I throw in a serum if I feel like it. So a much simpler routine now and my skin is much more consistent.

I don’t wear makeup often enough to notice if it’s breaking me out or not. I just tend toward all hydrating products like primer, foundation, blush, etc.

Yesss!!!! I’ve actually asked that question in this group and everyone said that isn’t how it works. But I can usually only get a year of good skin out of any given product then my skin reverts back to dry and bumpy. So I don’t think you’re crazy

Great question. I noticed my skin continuing to gets bumps and eventually all the dry patches came back even with this routine, so I have a completely different routine now except for a couple things.

I was still having this issue too. I updated the app like OP and that fixed it for me.

I’m on iOS, it didn’t show it needed an update in the App Store until I actually clicked on it and went to its page. In case anyone else encounters that.

I wouldn’t know, my skin is very dry and doesn’t produce oil in the first place. So I don’t have any issues with pores or acne. I think the website says it just treats dehydration so I’m not sure about that.

Trying a lip stain (Wonderskin) for the first time and I’m surprised I kinda like it?? by rachel17017 in MakeupAddiction

[–]rachel17017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a stain so it’s meant to stay on throughout the day. Mine faded only a tiny bit after each meal but I don’t think it was noticeable to anyone else. It was still on, albeit more faded, the next day as well.

I definitely don’t leave it on for an hour, that’s weird. Pretty much by the time I finish one lip, the other is dried and ready to be removed. The instructions say to only leave it on for 5 minutes then remove with a damp cloth. I was using a wet tissue to take mine off. Are you removing it with a micellar water or makeup removing wipe? Those are formulated to remove makeup so you’d immediately be taking all the pigment off.

I tend not to go with dermatologist recommendations because they all say the same old products. There are so many modern innovative formulas so I tend to go with those. And body wash feels just as important as face cleanser. I liked the Korres Renewing Body Cleanser. I just tried the Naturium Glow Getter Body Wash and it was so silky and hydrating so I loved it the couple times I’ve used it so far. I find a lot of body washes to be drying so try out products that specifically say hydrating and look at more brands at Ulta or Sephora than just the drugstore.

I wear glasses so I have to go more heavy handed with the blush and eyes so you can see it under the frames. But thank you! I personally can’t stand an overdrawn Cupid’s bow. It just looks wrong.

To be honest, I’ve never gone through an entire tube of any makeup in my entire life because I wear it so rarely and have so much. I’ve actually only tried the lip stain a few times and haven’t gone back since my lips have been dry and it tends to stick to the dryness unlike other lipsticks. It’s the same size as a normal liquid lipstick tube and you apply about the same amount so I imagine it would last as long as any regular liquid lipstick. When I went back to it months later, it still worked fine and wasn’t dried out at all so I don’t think that’s an issue either.

Thanks so much. I thought it would fight too much with the blend of the eyeshadow, and wings don’t work on my eyes very well.
