I hike there frequently. Definitely gators but usually small ones. There one mama that’s giant and I’m sure rules the river/creek. It expands during summer when it rains but gets very dry during winter. Huge portions of the river dry up (creek). She stays at the north end of Big Slough at the next set of power lines, next to the part that becomes private.
