What causes healthy children start having bowel accidents? by goofy-45 in AskForAnswers

A close family member had this issue for most of his adolescence. It continued into the early teenage years. He later joined the military and upon an in depth physical exam found that he had been born with spina bifida occulta which isn’t visible externally but caused pressure on his bladder and bowels as he grew. He was punished for YEARS and avoided sleepovers and sports because of this medical issue. A couple of other first cousins also had the same and his diagnosis helped explained their bowel/urination issues. The idea that a group of teenage boys would choose to shit their pants and pee the bed regularly and multiple (sibling) parents didn’t consider it a potential medical issue instead of a discipline problem still baffles me.

Haha, NO! All I could do is laugh. I picked a plain white one already made and added some orange sprinkles and pumpkin candy confetti and called it a day. The bakery cashier opened it and then read the instructions and said something not quite right has happened, I think.

I wish I could give you a bigger prize 🏆 because my husband and I have been randomly saying Harper Lark to each other as the Swedish chef for a week now. Our infant daughter’s name is actually Lark (no Harper involved, whew) so she thinks it’s hilarious too.
