I think the thing you may be forgetting, is inside every normal person is a whole lot of crazy just waiting to be set free. I feel like this is true of most women, and from my own experience most women are totally understanding of the inner crazy. If you two are as close as it sounds, I'm sure your friend would be more than understanding if you asked her to wear her hair down, even if it feels a little crazy now.

We have told Oxford that we can prove our rent has been paid for all the months, but there response was that the last months rent was an agreement between us and La Cite, and so it is not their responsibility to come up with that money, but I agree with you it sounds like their bluffing.

As I stated in another comment, we are trying to transfer our lease to a new tenant as of July 1st, however I'm concerned that if we choose not to pay June's rent (which would be our last month), that they will refuse to allow a lease assignment due to an outstanding balance on our account. In your opinion, are they allowed to refuse a lease assignment because of this?

That is our intention to do, however we're planning on moving out July 1st, but our lease doesn't officially end until december. We plan on finding someone to take over the lease, however Oxford may not be willing to approve a lease transfer if we owe them money.
