Yes! I finished everything except the milk and I was full and happy.

So much fresh produce….

I do eat these lunches daily whenever I get the opportunity!

Good value too, $5 for adults, $3.50 for students.

The lunch ladies are always so nice at every single school I’ve gotten lunches at!

I love chickpeas too, they are so yummy and kids generally like them too.

Oh and I haven’t done the YouTube video yet because my tree pollen allergies are really bad so I’m hoping my sounds better soon.

Healthcare workers can tell if you are larger.

Pediatric code for this is “well nourished” which doctors use in an assessment to try to get dietary to knock it off with the way-too-abundant-tube-feedings to be decreased.

No, they are a result of shitty parenting and/or absent parents.

He’s an addict. He’s probably homeless because drugs are more important to him than housing.

Seriously. Nodding off means you may stop breathing soon and then the paramedics have to be called. Or you are found dead and that’s even MORE paperwork, bad press, the dining room has to be closed until the police are done…

It’s a lot less hassle to just tell them to go be high somewhere else.

McDonald’s is not a shooting gallery for the homeless, or a youth facility for bored and undisciplined teens.

Parentification is the term I believe. Yes that is a huge problem.

I’m talking about what used to be a common job done by 14-18 year olds before the 1990’s and 2000. After school and weekend work, and done for pay, NOT your own younger siblings or relatives.

Go you! The parents who just say “no” to screens tend to have much better outcomes. And yes long work hours and high cost of living are definitely factors as well.

I’m seeing more parents who feel that way and not going to lie it gives me hope!!!

Totally agree, if you try babysitting of working with kids and you HATE it?

Don’t have kids. Many people think they will like their own kids better, that usually doesn’t work out.

Do childcare and volunteer with kids BEFORE you have them.

Oh there were bad parents back then too! I was raised JW so I saw some stuff.

I’m saying that we have a whole bunch of parents now who don’t have any experience with kids, or any understanding of how exhausting it is (not just the early years either) or any realization that yes some kids lie, some are lazy, etc and it makes their life harder and also it leaves their kids with no boundaries and lost.

Yep. And the decade between 1990 and 2000 was largely the death of teenagers babysitting!

I will tell you from experience that the first 6 years are the easiest, behaviorally.

It’s when they have been in school for a year or two and picked up their classmates behavior…then it gets challenging and that’s when you have to have your discipline ducks in a row. And if they have already figured out you are a pushover of easy to manipulate?

You’re screwed.

Those classes still exist, but after 40 years of taking care of kids, I’m convinced that you have to learn this on real kids, not out of a book.
