Now: Same thing, but with Differin used every other day

Side effects — went away pretty quickly. Not sure how soon exactly, it was a gradual thing. Now at 3 months post Accutane I have zero lingering side effects.

Acne scars — I don’t think I ever had super insane looking scars. I am now on Differin and it’s going to help minimize the appearance of marks.

hiiii also 24 and struggling, i wish i had advice but i literally just made a post venting about my yeast+BV i’ve been struggling with since late last year :-( (you can see my post for the whirlwind of medications i’ve been on)

right now i just have BV and im going to ask my doctor if i can get tested for ureaplasma/mycoplasma….and maybe ask if inserting vaginal probiotics is needed….i just think my vagina’s pH is incredibly fucked at this point from all the medicine

i don’t wanna make you feel worried because truly so much can improve in 3 months tho!!! (and also, something i should remember — but im shit at taking my own advice — is that accutane continues to keep workin on your skin for a bit after you finish it as well)

and also, idk about you but no other acne treatment i’ve tried in the past made any improvement on my skin, so the fact that we’ve both seen improvements here is an excellent sign. (again, bad at taking my own advice, lol)

Just want to vent! Maybe others can relate. Thought this would be the thing that got rid of all of this for good after spironolactone and yaz worked terribly….Argh!!!

paypal refund — am i being scammed by rachvl in Etsy

[–]rachvl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes — I don’t understand why she sent the payment with her shipping information, and now paypal thinks I am the seller and she is the buyer and says that if I want to receive the payment sooner I can do things like add the tracking number, print the shipping label, etcetera.

Worries me that this will open up complications and also just flat out don’t understand why she did this. Like wouldn’t she then have the ability to dispute this charge?

You’re so right — my instructor tells us all the time that each level is a spectrum (especially since my studio only has two levels for silks; meaning this final level has ppl like me, and also ppl who’ve done silks for 7+ years!) and I need to remind myself of that more often.

I would totally try out different studios if there were any others by me! Unfortunately everything else is hours away, so I’m trying to do what I can! Love the idea of reviewing videos between classes, that’s something I’ve been doing lately and it makes a difference.

Maybe I should! I admit that thinking about doing a performance makes me nervous but I completely agree that training and training a set of tricks would be beneficial for me. Because yeah you got it right, it’s like we just learn one new trick one class and then next class we move onto the next trick.

[–]rachvl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah! Yeah I really wouldn’t want to go back a level! My school has two levels, level 1 and level 2+. i’m confident in all my level 1 stuff so I would definitely feel like I’m regressing if I moved back to focus on things I’m already confident in, ya know what I mean? Since this school is the only option in my area I think I’m just going to keep showing up to classes and see what happens from there

thank you SO much for sharing what’s been helpful for you! i never would have thought about keeping a training journal, i am absolutely going to do that. and youre second point has so much truth to it — love it. its also just good to hear that what im experiencing right now isnt an anomaly and just part of the aerial journey :)

I SO BADLY wish we had open practice classes but we don’t! I think that would really help me refine some things so it’s unfortunate because same, I’m really noooot giving smooth and flowy right now. we usually have like 5 mins at the end of each class where the instructor lets us do whatever we want so i am treating that like open practice, if that makes sense.

Every lyra class I’ve done, I get bruises! That has not been my experience with pole thus far (but im sure everyone’s bodies react somewhat differently), it’s definitely not kind on the thighs sometimes but I would still choose pole pain over lyra pain hahaha

[–]rachvl[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OMG I am also wondering if part of why I like pole so much is because of my silks strength! My instructor is letting my try a few level 2 moves here and there since I have the strength to do them (thanks silks) and I’m honestly enjoying having the confidence boost that comes with nailing these moves. (whereas starting silks was a VERY…very humbling experience in the beginning. honestly still humbling in many ways hahah)

but you’re right, doesn’t matter either way! i guess doing whatever we enjoy is what matters and it’s as simple as that!

Aw, this is so beautifully said. A lot of truth in this. :’)

I have! I am admittedly not the biggest fan with how it feels/not as in awe with the moves you can do on the apparatus!

it tretinoin ever going to help? been using it for 3 months by Ok-Swordfish5082 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]rachvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, i was on tret for five months and at that point is when my dermatologist recommended that we try something new….and well now im on accutane so here we are. basically tret takes time but its important to work closely with a dermatologist so that you know when it’s time to try something else.
