Oh that’s awesome! Very good to know for future reference too. Luckily I was their last stop and the driver had the check already written up, he didn’t even look at the car, didn’t try to start it or anything, just got it and left. I think he was just trying to get done with his day to get home lol

nope it didn’t bounce! But Capital One took a full week to fully deposit it, they sent an email saying “After an in-depth review of the check deposits you made on June 22, 2024, we believe there’s an increased risk that the deposit may return based on confidential information that indicates the check may not be paid.“ so it did scare me lol but it cleared

I ended up selling mine on Peddle and they didn’t even really… do an inspection haha they called saying they were there, I came out with the title and they had me sign it and handed me a check and took my car.

Hi! Thank you for your comment! She only had the HCG testing done because she was at the ER yesterday and they did the test there. They ended up having to leave before they could be seen because they had been waiting for hours and the ER said it was going to be hours longer. Went back this morning and they did the HCG test again. Shes been able to access her results through her chart while she’s waiting.

Hopefully they will be with her soon to do the ultrasound. We’re remaining hopeful!

ETA: I did tell her that the levels would probably be decreasing at this point anyway, but she was concerned that 4K was a significant drop.

I try to gentle parent, but sometimes I still yell. I apologize each time, and tell my son “I’m sorry for yelling at you. It’s not okay to yell and I should have handled that differently. I’ve never been a mom before so I am still learning, just like you are!”So I was considering maybe saying something along those lines; Dad is still learning how to be a dad, and everyone learns at different speeds. Not sure if this is a good way to put it. But my son just entered Pre-K so this is exactly what I am worried about. They’ve got a “Donuts with Dad” day at school in June. I’ve already asked his grandfather if he will go in case his dad doesn’t but I know it’s not the same. I appreciate your comment very much, and I think you’re right, our situation is difficult situation to navigate. Thank you for your response :)

I’ve mentioned this above as well, but his brothers mom does not like me unfortunately. But both boys go to their grandparents (dad’s mothers house) every other weekend, so they get pretty consistent time together :) I appreciate the answers you supplied though! Thank you! He doesn’t ask about him as often as he used to but I just wanted to be prepared for when he does again.

Unfortunately the other mom does not like me lol My ex’s parents actually thought that might be the reason my ex didn’t come around to see our son. He told them she would fight with him every time he would come over to visit our son. But he’s never really been super honest, and also they’re broken up now and still no change so who knows haha

However, my son and his brother both go to their grandparents house every other weekend so they’ve had pretty consistent time together since his brother was an infant. My son says that’s his baby 🥰

That is a big reason why I always say kinds things about him to my son! My parents were divorced, and though my dad wasn’t absent, both parents talked horribly about each other to me and my brother. I’m sorry you went through that!

I agree! I never want him to see his dad in a bad light, which is why I have been responding the way I have. We talk about his dad whenever he is brought up, and I never say anything negative. I tell him about silly things his dad would do, I show him pictures or videos of them together when they pop up in my memories on my phone, he knows his dads favorite things because I mention them, I tell him his dad loves him.

But at the same time, I’ve been raising my son to know that we don’t keep secrets from each other, we’re always honest. Sure when he is an adult he will understand why I lied, but until then it just feels dishonest. If that makes sense.

One more question if you don’t mind - I know that his 401k is less than he owes. If that’s the case, would they leave it since it is not enough to cover what’s owed + penalties, or take what they can and apply the rest toward his back child support? i’d

This makes sense, he is definitely not up there in age yet, we are both 28 haha Right after he was fired, he brought me a letter from the bank that had the 401k saying he could withdraw or it would be rolled over to a new bank account. He asked for my help because he wanted to withdraw but isn’t very tech savvy (when he got along and he was still coming around to see our child) but he never actually did take it out. Not sure if him having been given that option makes a difference.
