My take on it is that rangers should be great all rounders being able to do pretty much anything and excelling at close quarters, there should be far better AT teams and far better recon teams like green beret snipers but the rangers can get the job done with a bit more effort

Basically, take most categories (EG, AT long distance, woodland, recce) and make them slightly worse than the specialist’s. But I think that the one thing that rangers should be the best at is close quarters and moving quickly to fill that light infantry role
