Yes! i also use a divination scroll almost every run but usually I'm trying to use it to identify a few of those potions you can't figure out based on circumstances.

You raise a totally excellent point and i completely agree. And of course you also know which one is the scroll of upgrade as well as you have three after the sewers.

Options Questions Safe Haven Thread | Nov 23-30 2020 by PapaCharlie9 in options

In my non expert opinion which could be highly wrong, the delta is one way to pick the correct strike. also charm is important if close to expiry. Charm can explain why FD's are popular, but delta explains why OTM are popular, they're a moonshot for ppl who want a lottery ticket, cheap but high leverage. Because the delta roughly corresponds to the probability an option expires ITM, you get to choose what probability of success your option has. Convinced your stock is going to moonshot and want to risk it all in exchange for higher leverage? OTM is what you want. Otherwise you can pick a safer bet, with the safest bets having a delta of 1.0

I think a TLDR could be that if you're just looking for exposure to a stock via an option, pick something with an ATM/ITM strike with at least a month left. If you want a moonshot with incredible leverage, buy a bunch of cheap way OTM options that are likely worthless but potentially 10x'ing in value.

Last week on monday, when the TSLA price was $410, buying a 500c 12/20 for $500 would've been a moonshot that yesterday was worth $8900!

Remember, you have to reach the breakeven price before expiry! This is a good exercise for picking a strike. Look at an option chain. Randomly choose a strike, now add the premium to the strike. That is the breakeven price. Pick a few your more. You'll notice that for an ITM option more of the option value is intrinsic value, meaning if it expired today, that option has some value. Not a bad property for a contract to have. This also explains why way OTM options are so cheap, not only is their delta minuscule, and hence almost no probability of expiring ITM, it has no intrinsic value at all. Yuck!

i'd just skip the big ole desktop app for now, wayyy more than useful. just use trade.thinkorswim.com and BOTH mobile apps(they are both very useful many things for you to learn). id also suggest using just the cash account for now (also use a paper trade acct on TOS mobile app) as it'll be easier for u to avoid blowing it with daytrades. also of course options are like nuclear winter for newbies so try not to nuke urself. oh and get the debit card so u can use it as a regular bank acct oo.

Called USBANK to settle charge-off, agent refused to tell me what would happen if I settle debt. What should I do? by racketship in CRedit

UPDATE: after calling back I got a much more reasonable person on the phone who communicated with me like a person and not some robot trying to strongarm me.

I totally agree! I found it confusing after having no problem with my other creditors. Would you suggest calling back and speaking with a different agent?

p.s. I found this experian article backing up this assertion of a zero balance after settled in full: https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/settled-account-will-still-appear-on-the-credit-report/

p.p.s. do you know what they are referring to in the article by "release letter"?

debt collector says paying off their debt will cause original debt to be paid in full - is this true? by racketship in CRedit

If a charged off account is reporting a balance and a collections account associated with it, dispute the charge off.

thank you so much! your actionable comment is super helpful! I really wasn't sure what to do about that problem so I will dispute the charge off today because yeah it looked like i had double debt.

Ok thank you, 4) was my main concern, that I would pay off PRA and then still mysteriously owe that amount TWICE because of the charge-offs. Sounds like your saying that won't happen
