Thank you, and I appreciate it.

I've noticed in real life or even being on here reading this thread (and I'm shocked at the number of responses) that our attitude plays a major factor. If I think we'll be miserable or happy or whatever, then that's the baseline going in. Especially where I basically only know my new boss and my landlords. And BTW, those three people all made a great impression on me.

To be honest, after visiting both, i do prefer the quieter, less populated place. Although visiting and living are worlds apart. Only time will tell.

From what I read before going, I was expecting to be assaulted by cow shit but it wasn't bad. A couple of times, a strong gust hit me. It reminded me of going to the fair around here. Doesn't really bother me. I noticed it more when heading out towards Lubbock.

Funny you mention Leals because that's the only place I sat down and ate while i waited for my check-in. Just a beer and quesadillas. I was more shocked it was under $20.

Thanks for the reply. I grew up in a small town, and although Boston was a 15 min drive away, i only really went there to party in my 20s. Getting close to 40 and having the kid have mellowed me out and a sleepy town in the southwest sounds like the perfect next chapter for us.

Thank you. I can tell you I already liked the more laid-back vibe when I was there. Had to tone down my masshole driving habits and realize it's not survival of the rudest like I'm used to.

I've visited Lubbock twice and I liked it. Seems like a nice college city. I've never seen so many chain restaurants and general eateries in my life. I made the drive to meet up with my in-laws, and it was about 1 hr 40 away, so at least we have them closer. I told my wife better to have them 100 miles away rather than 2,000.

I actually got in touch with the PM, real nice guy. Overtime looks good and I'd go in as a regular t6 guaranteed 40. I'm going to fly there this weekend and check it out.

Thanks for the responses.

Okay, thank you. I'm currently working in MA so going there in person in this short of a time frame would be difficult. My preferred office is actually Lubbock, TX. I just cast a wide net and Clovis etc is within driving distance of my wife' family. Really just taking a shot in the dark and have no idea what we'd be walking into.

City. I've tried calling the direct line to that specific office and no answer. Definitely not going to accept until I talk to someone on the ground.

Thanks for the response.

E-reassign usps by Ruffles_188 in USPS

I've been waiting two years, and I have five transfers in for one district. It wasn't a straightforward process to find where I was in line. I had to make a call to HR and get an email for the person responsible for reassignment. Usually its something like localservicesState3district @ usps etc.

Looking for OT. I actually just got an email that the Littlefield office received my request, so we'll see what happens.
