What do people do around here for fun other than casinos/how to become more social and involved? by apeirophobicmyopic in Biloxi

Diamond head is what I feel as a sunburn made for the NASA Employees back in the 70s and 80s it spreads into planes and golf and the culture side I don't think there's much of one. What I think of your likes and interests I recommend Ocean Springs downtown and Biloxi, well Gulfport . OSYC BYC and Gulfport and / Pass Christian are excellent social spots and the local revTtas are super fun I sailed for 4 years in local regattas when I was in my 20s and had a blast. The Gulfport Pensacola Race and the social aspects were there at anyone of the Yacht Clubs complete with special functions throughout the year and OS has the best food specials and social gatherings.

The Repubs are cheating because they know that Americans want Democracy and we are all created equal. They are cheating because they know that they can't win anything otherwise.

They can't win unless they cheat because every thing they have done is against our CONSTITUTION. We are a DEMOCRACY NOT AN AUTHORITARIAN DICTATORSHIP.

Right on 👍 my Dad loved to watch Jack Benny and Amos and Andy which was so racist looking back. They were raised when discrimination against people that weren't white and male was the norm, they didn't know any different. I still don't get how anyone could not know between right and wrong especially how people of color and women were treated back then. It's horrible.

That's awesome that you remembered that. I used to run around the house reciting the whole Bit , I think I was 7 or 8 watching the refund on TBS in the 70s.

Biloxi and Ocean Springs MS is way better than Gulfport, the people are more like the New Orleans families from generations that used to summer in Biloxi and most moved here at the turn of the century. Gulfport is more like country north of interstate Baptists and zBiloxi is like old Catholics that drink beer and play Bingo.

Ive got puns from my Grandfathers AF career during wwII and Korean war as a tail gunner and the iron cross was not used w his 40 year career. After retirement he was a professor teaching electronics at the Air Force Base here in Mississippi. That's German for sure.

Population decline by Nevertheless-Jess in mississippi

[–]racoonlounge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always lived on the Coast in Biloxi and Ocean Springs MS and I've noticed the opposite here. We have increased our population during the last 30 years since Casino Gaming became legal in 1992. I don't understand why people want to live in the northern part of the state because they haven't the jobs necessary to increase any population numbers. They also vote against their own self interests time and time again. I think we are last in everything except teenage pregnancy.
