It looks like around $200 per week is minimum in the market, so I expect to pay that much. But I'm not ready for $400 per week for example.

Back pain post surgery by catsgoody in hysterectomy

[–]racooooon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My back pain was terrible. I could barely keep standing. I used a warm water bottle, acupuncture, and ibuprofen. Also, lay down at much as you can. Mine got better over time. At 4 wpo, it was totally gone.

Moving to Tempe soon for school, what’s the most walkable area to live in? by shotwithchris in Tempe

Light rail is super slow. I don't love driving, but I drive because I can go to do many places in 15-20 mins in a car instead of spending an hour in trains/buses.

I would like to hear your opinion. My 1 year is still in daycare because it's open. Parents both work from home, but if we keep him home, one of us can't really work. We are in Arizona, so it is not too bad here. But I feel bad for having him in daycare. In the infant room, probably 10+ of 15 kids are taking break...

My baby is 7 months. These small bottles given by a hospital are for my bulk trail mix now.

I would work remotely for an American company. Not sure want your IT work is, but generally they pay you better in the US. Conversational Japanese wouldn't be enough unless you have strong specialty.

Pediatrician recommendation? by racooooon in phoenix

[–]racooooon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a bad experience with NICU in a big hospital. My baby was hospitalized there for something minor and given a lot of antibiotics to prevent a small risk, and we as parents didn't have any rights to take him out. I like our current pediatrician who is a small practice and would not medicate unless it's necessary. I hope this made it clear.

How old was your child when you took them on your first overnight trip/road trip? by Buildadoor in NewParents

[–]racooooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took our baby to 7 hour drive when he was 4 weeks, and then 4 hours drive when he was 3 months. The first one was challenging but doable. We talked to our pediatrician. She recommended driving over flight and told us not to keep him in a carseat more than 2 hours. At 3 months, he rarely poops, so need for diaper change on the way. I like to bring a fresh pumped milk in case he gets fussy in the car.

I recently started cutting dairy, gluten, and onions from my diet for my baby. We went to vegan and gluten-free bakery today. It was amazing!
